Antivirus blocks Dispolotse – how to allow the app
ETS2 + ATS
Your antivirus thinks the app or an update is dangerous? How to check the signature and allow the app in Bitdefender, Microsoft Defender, Avast, AVG, Kaspersky, ESET and Norton.
On this page11
Sometimes an antivirus reports the Dispolotse app as "malware" or a "threat" – usually exactly while the app is updating itself. That is a false positive. This page explains why it happens, how to check for yourself that the file is genuine, and how to allow the app in your antivirus.
You never switch off your antivirus for this
You only allow this one file. Protection for everything else stays on.
Why it happens#
Many antivirus programs have behaviour-based protection: it judges a program not only by its file but by what it does. The Dispolotse app downloads new versions by itself, replaces itself and then restarts. To behaviour-based protection exactly this looks suspicious – especially for a program that not many people use yet. The file itself is unchanged and digitally signed.
How to find the app's program file#
You allow exactly one file: the app's program file. Your antivirus message usually already names it with its full path. To find it yourself:
- If the app is running: open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) › right-click "Dispolotse" › "Open file location". File Explorer opens the folder with the file already selected.
- If the app is not running: Start menu › right-click "Dispolotse — Fahrer-App" › "More" › "Open file location". In the folder that opens, right-click the shortcut once more › "Open file location" – now the program file is selected.
The app always sits in your user folder under %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs in the app's own folder. Right-click the selected file › "Copy as path" and the full path is on your clipboard – you paste it into your antivirus later. Most antivirus programs also have a "Browse" button to select the file directly.
If your antivirus has already moved the file to quarantine, restore it there first – or download the app again via "Download the app" on dispolotse.de and set it up. Your account, your company and your jobs are kept.
How to check that the file is genuine#
- Right-click the selected program file › "Properties".
- Open the "Digital Signatures" tab.
- The list shows the publisher who signed the app. Select the entry and click "Details" – at the top it says "This digital signature is OK."
If the "Digital Signatures" tab is missing or the signature is not OK, do not start the file and contact us (see below).
Bitdefender#
Bitdefender usually reports the app through "Advanced Threat Defense":
- Open Bitdefender › "Protection" on the left.
- Under "Advanced Threat Defense" click "Open".
- "Settings" tab › "Manage exceptions".
- Click "+ Add an exception".
- Paste the copied path or use the magnifier to select the app's program file › "OK".
- Switch on the toggle next to "Advanced Threat Defense" and click "Save".
Microsoft Defender (Windows Security)#
If the app was just blocked:
- Open Windows Security › "Virus & threat protection" › "Protection history".
- Open the entry for the Dispolotse app › "Actions" › "Allow" (or "Allow on device").
So that it does not happen again:
- "Virus & threat protection" › under "Virus & threat protection settings" "Manage settings".
- At the bottom under "Exclusions" › "Add or remove exclusions".
- "Add an exclusion" › "File" › select the app's program file.
Avast and AVG#
- Open Avast or AVG › "Menu" › "Settings".
- "General" › "Exceptions".
- "Add exception" › paste the copied path or select the file via "Browse" › confirm.
If Avast or AVG has already moved the file, you find it under "Menu" › "Quarantine" and can restore it there.
Kaspersky#
- Open Kaspersky › "Settings" › "Security settings".
- Open the exclusions section (depending on the version "Threats and Exclusions") › "Manage exclusions".
- "Add" › under "File or folder" paste the copied path › leave the rule "Active" › add it.
ESET#
- Open ESET and press F5 – the "Advanced setup" opens.
- "Detection engine" › "Exclusions" › click "Edit" next to "Performance exclusions".
- "Add" › use "…" to select the app's program file › "OK" and save.
Norton#
- Open Norton › "Settings" › "Antivirus" › "Scans and Risks" tab.
- Under "Exclusions / Low Risks", in the row for Auto-Protect (real-time protection including behavioural protection) click "Configure".
- "Add Files" › select the app's program file › confirm. Do the same in the row "Items to Exclude from Scans" if needed.
Other antivirus programs#
The principle is the same everywhere: the settings have a section called "Exceptions", "Exclusions" or "Trusted applications". Add the app's one program file there. Menu names may differ slightly between versions.
