Renting from the dealer
ETS2 + ATS
Rented truck and trailer: rates S1 to S5 per 7 days, choose a rate, extend, return.
On this page5
If you have no truck or trailer of your own, you rent from the dealer. Your rentals are on the page "Rental" (it is called "My rented truck and my rented trailer"). Rented vehicles also appear in your vehicle list, marked as rented.

How a rental contract starts#
You take out a new rental in the app, as soon as you sit in the vehicle in the game — the app recognises it ("New vehicle detected", "Attention truck: …", "Attention trailer: …") and asks for the rate. On the web a note "Rent a new one" marked "App only" says so.
Until you have chosen, the app shows a band at the top with the rates and a button to choose, together with the time you have left. If you do not choose, the rate the app names applies ("Without a choice, … applies.").
On a quick job the truck and trailer belong to the client — there is nothing to rent.
The rates#
There are five rates, S1 to S5. Each is valid per 7 days and includes a number of kilometres; beyond that you pay per extra kilometre. The trailer has its own rates (a quarter of the truck rates). The card shows:
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| "Rate S…" | your rate |
| "base per period" | the price for 7 days |
| "included" | the included distance of this period |
| "driven this period" | what you have driven so far |
| "per extra km" | the price per kilometre beyond the included distance |
| "already paid" | what you have paid for this contract so far |
You change the rate with "Choose rate". Until the deadline shown the change applies at once, after it from the next period ("From the next period S… applies.").
Period, extending, returning#
- "Rental still runs for …" and the end date show how long the contract lasts.
- "Extend rental" extends it. If that is not possible right now, the app says: "This rental cannot be extended any further right now."
- "Return" ends the contract. The dealer then collects the vehicle ("The dealer is collecting the vehicle."). The return run is on the freight market ("Return run to … is on the freight market.") or already under way, with arrival.
- After every return the dealer's workshop takes a short look at the vehicle — see Return check and wear.
If your rented truck is not there yet: "Your rented truck is expected on … — until then you drive on the base rate." If the dealer does not know yet: "The dealer is reordering — please be patient."
Driving without an own truck and without a rental#
If you drive a load with someone else's vehicle, without an own truck or rental contract, the revenue of the run goes to the dealer and you receive mileage pay. The settlement of the load says so too.
Leasing in your private life#
In your private life you can lease your private car from the dealer. The instalment is debited every month; a leased car belongs to the dealer — you cannot sell it, and at the end it goes back to him.
