My life
ETS2 + ATS
Home, car, leisure and shopping — your life besides driving.
On this page8
Your driver has a home, a fridge that needs filling and evenings off. Dispolotse plays out the life of a truck driver alongside the driving — and every direct debit shows up by name on your bank account. In the app: MONEY › "My life".

Click, don't scroll#
The key figures stay at the top. Below them, a bar lets you pick the area: "Home & costs" · "Month" · "Shop" · "Food & leisure" · "Furnishing & car" · "Events" · "More". Your choice is remembered. If an event is waiting for your answer, its button lights up — and the page opens right there.
Home and costs#
Here you see what your life costs each month: rent, food and the rest (phone, TV licence, electricity, insurance). Fixed costs are debited once a month on a set day; the next debits are listed below.
You start out in a room in a shared flat. Later you move: into a flat with 1, 2 or 3 rooms or into a house with a garden — rented or bought. When you move, you pay a deposit that you get back when you move out. "See the move" and "See the purchase" show beforehand what comes with you, what goes into boxes and what it costs. A home is paid only from your balance — not with the overdraft and not on credit.
The shop#
Shelves for subscriptions, furniture, tech & household, car & bike, pets and garden. Whatever you order is delivered and set up — under "Deliveries & warranty" you see the status: ordered, on the way, delivered, being set up, in place.
For the first 2 years the retailer repairs things for free. If something breaks after that, you decide: repair it, buy new, or "Do without for now". Subscriptions are debited with your fixed costs and end at the end of the month after you cancel. Nothing is ever bought automatically; the overdraft is only used if you explicitly say yes.

Furnishing, moving and your car#
Every room has spots — large, medium, small. Click a free spot to put something there; or put it "Into a box" or sell it. Whatever has no room in your current home stays in boxes and remains yours.

Your car: buy or lease — only ever one. Insurance, tax, MOT and repairs come with it; every private fill-up appears on your bank account with litres and amount. With a house it parks in the garage, otherwise on the street.

Food, leisure and holidays#
Lifestyle: Frugal, Normal, Good or Luxury. It sets what you spend on food and how often and how dearly leisure tempts you. A change applies from next month.
Rest shows how rested your driver is — from 0 to 100, from "rested" to "worn out". Long hours at the wheel wear you down; days off, holidays, leisure, a bed of your own, a sofa and a cosy home help. Whoever drives long and never rests falls ill more easily.

Leisure: sauna and spa, theme park, concert, cinema, eating out or a weekend trip — with "Go today". You book holidays right here; they are reported to your company. A day on which you drive does not count as a holiday day.

Pets: a cat may already live in the shared-flat room, a dog only once you have your own flat. When you are on the road, someone has to look after the pet — a boarding kennel, a neighbour, a cat sitter; a cat can also ride along in the truck, a dog cannot.

Life gets in the way#
Some things ask you first, some just happen — like in real life. Under "Events" you see what is waiting for your answer (with "Yes, do it" / "No, thanks" and a deadline) and what has happened so far. Small things, medium ones, big ones — and some that simply have to be.
Month#
What was debited this month — by group: housing, groceries, power and heating, subscriptions and contracts, insurance and other, car, pets/leisure/holidays. Plus the annual statements (extra payment or credit) and a look back over 12 months. Only what was really debited — no forecasts.
More#
Your professional driver training with the next date, your church contribution (join or leave) and the jump "Go to Bank" — overdraft and loan live only there, so that you never see two different figures.
