Discord status – show what you are driving
ETS2 + ATS
If you like, your own Discord profile shows the start and destination city and your cargo – only on your PC, off by default.
On this page5
Want your friends on Discord to see where you are heading? Then switch on the Discord status. Your Discord profile then shows, for example:
Playing Dispolotse Driving Cologne → Hamburg 18 t Steel
This is something different from your company's Discord webhooks: those send messages to a channel. The Discord status shows only in your own profile what you are driving right now.
Switching it on#
- Open "Settings" in the app, tab "Who sees what".
- In the card "Discord status" switch on "Show what I am driving in my Discord profile".
It is off by default. Below the switch you see what is happening:
- "Showing in your Discord profile right now."
- "Appears in your Discord profile as soon as the Discord app runs on this PC and the game is started."
The setting applies only to this PC. If you drive on a second computer, switch it on there separately. The driver area in the browser has no Discord status – it runs only through the Windows app.
What is shown – and what never is#
Only this is shown:
- start and destination city – as the game names them: "Driving Cologne → Hamburg"
- the cargo with its weight – in ETS2 e.g. "18 t Steel", in ATS in tonnes and pounds, e.g. "20 t (44,092 lb) Steel"
- without a job: "Driving without a job"
- plus "dispolotse.de" – as the picture hint and as a button in your profile
Never shown: money and pay, number plates, company names, your VTC and exactly where you are.
How it works#
The app talks only to the Discord app on your PC – not over the internet and not through us. Dispolotse receives none of your Discord status.
- Requirement: the Discord app for Windows is running on the same PC (Discord in the browser is not enough) and the game is started.
- Game closed → the status disappears. Switch off → it disappears at once. App closed → Discord clears it itself.
- When the job changes, the status updates by itself after a short while.
If nothing appears#
- Is the Discord app running? Without it there is no status.
- Is the game started? In the game's main menu the app shows nothing.
- Does Discord show your activity? In Discord under Settings › Activity Privacy, "Share your detected activities with others" (or similar, depending on your Discord version) must be switched on.
- Only waited a moment? The status does not appear in the same second – give it a little time.
Your company's messages: "Don't name me on Discord"#
Don't want to be named in your company's messages? There is a separate switch for that, independent of the Discord status:
- In the app: "Settings" › tab "Who sees what" › card "Your company's Discord" › "Don't name me on Discord"
- In the driver area in the browser: "Settings" › card "Your company's Discord" (right under "Who sees what") › "Don't name me on Discord"
When it is on, you appear in all of your company's messages only as "A driver". The setting belongs to your account – it applies the same in the app and in the browser.
For owners: nothing arrives in the channel? If a webhook shows "Refused", enter the new webhook URL and check that "Webhook is active" is ticked – otherwise it stays off. A test message only goes out for an active webhook; it appears in the channel with the next run, within 5 minutes at the latest. Everything step by step: Setting up Discord webhooks.
