Discord message “New app version”

When a new version of the Dispolotse app comes out, Dispolotse can announce it straight in your Discord — with all the changes that are new. For this, the Discord webhooks have the message “New app version with all changes”.

How to switch it on#

You need a webhook that is already set up — how to do that is explained step by step under Setting up Discord webhooks.

1. Open your company's Discord webhooks: in the browser, driver area › “Run the company” › card “Discord webhooks of your company”; in the Windows app “Run the company” › tab “Company” › card “Discord”.
2. On the webhook whose channel should get the message, click “Edit”.
3. Under “What is reported”, in the group Company, tick “New app version with all changes”.
4. “Save”.

The message is off until you tick it — on new and on existing webhooks. It can be set by the owner and by anyone with the right “Edit company profile”.

What the message looks like#

• a heading such as “📲 Dispolotse 0.4.74 is out”
• below it the changes of the new version as a list, one line per point
• “📅 Released: …” with the day of the release
• “⬇️ Download: dispolotse.de · or right in the app”

If there are very many changes, the first ones are in the message, followed by “… and … more changes — the app shows them all when updating.”

Good to know#

• Every version comes exactly once, and only one newer than the last one announced — never an older one.
• The message goes to every webhook of yours where it is ticked, in ETS2 and in ATS.
• If you tick the message only after a release, you get the next new version — past ones are not sent afterwards. The same applies if the webhook was switched off at the time.
• The message shows no money and mentions nobody.
