How Dispolotse began

I had the idea for Dispolotse in March 2026, and I have been working on it since July 2026. Here I tell you how it came about – for everyone who would like to know who is behind the app and why it exists.

The idea – March 2026#

I have had Euro Truck Simulator 2 since 2014, and I simply love the game. I started out as an HR manager in a large virtual haulage company, then I had a company of my own, and most recently I was an HR manager in a large company again.

What I always missed was the realism: there was no software with a complete economy – with a whole chain like the one Dispolotse has now.

What Dispolotse should do differently#

From the start it mattered to me that Dispolotse brings realism to drivers – a real chain from the dealer via the workshop to the load, in which every drive and every booking counts. And still it should stay flexible when a company wants things differently.

It mattered just as much to me that solo drivers have a goal too and can build up everything a VTC can.

From the idea to the work – since July 2026#

I have been working on Dispolotse since July 2026. I started small and used AI a lot along the way – but I also made many mistakes, so I had to start over a few times.

The hardest part was all the testing.

The beta – since 1 October 2026#

The beta started on 1 October 2026. It was actually planned for January 2027, but I brought it forward – because only with the drivers' help can I get Dispolotse more quickly to where I still want it to be. ;-)

Since then I have been overwhelmed by how many of you help me make Dispolotse better: you send me ideas and bug reports, you are patient and wait until I have fixed the bugs and built in the ideas.

The new app – since 10 October 2026#

On 10 October 2026 the new app arrived, version 0.6.8 – rebuilt from the ground up. Why this rebuild mattered so much:

Until then, a lot of things existed twice – once in the app and once in the login area on dispolotse.de. I had to build every change twice, and a new feature only reached you once you had installed the next app version.

The new app is a slim frame around the login area: most pages come straight from dispolotse.de. Only what is closely tied to the game still lives in the app itself – recording your drive, the drive page, the overlay and loading jobs into the game.

That gives you three things:

• New things reach everyone at the same time – without you having to install a new app every time.
• One truth: the app and the login area always show the same.
• Built for many: the new app is an important building block so that Dispolotse also runs well with 1000 drivers and more.

Where the name comes from#

To be honest: by chance – with the help of an AI.

What matters to me#

• Dispolotse is a private, free hobby project. Everything in the game is game money – no real money is involved.
• I try to answer every driver. And I am glad that so many drivers send me wishes and bug reports – because on my own I can't test everything thoroughly.
• I am glad that so many drivers understand that not everything fits perfectly yet during the beta. We all pull together so that Dispolotse becomes a tool everyone likes to use – and one that is very flexible, for solo drivers just as much as for VTCs.

What comes next#

I am looking forward to the moment when all open points are done and I can offer you a tool that doesn't exist like this anywhere else. With your help we will make it together: a tool in which everyone enjoys driving – with a little challenge from building things up, and with ways to spend money now and then when you have too much of it or get too much, for example in a lottery. ;-)
