You can connect your Discord account to your Dispolotse account. Then you can also sign in with Discord – your e-mail address and password stay as they are.

This is something different from the Discord status (shows in your Discord profile what you are driving) and from your company's Discord webhooks (messages to a channel).

What it is good for#

Sign in with Discord – On the sign-in page of the driver area (dispolotse.de/fahrer) tap "Sign in with Discord" and confirm at Discord yourself.
Change your e-mail address without a password – Right after a sign-in with Discord this works without a password (see below).
Your Discord picture – If you like, we take over your Discord picture as your profile picture. It is checked first; it only becomes visible once it has been approved.

From Discord we only learn your Discord ID, your user name and your picture.

Connect Discord#

Open the driver area – Sign in to the driver area (dispolotse.de/fahrer) and open "My profile".
Tab "Security" – There you find the "Discord" card. Without a connection it says: "No Discord account is connected to your account."
"Connect Discord" – Tap it. You go to Discord and confirm there yourself. Afterwards the card says "Connected as …" with your Discord name.

iPhone: driver area as an app on the home screen?

Discord cannot be connected there. Open the driver area in Safari once for it.

You can disconnect Discord in the same card with "Disconnect Discord". If your account has no password yet (for example because you created it with Discord), set one first via "Forgot password" – otherwise you could no longer get in without Discord.

Change your e-mail address via Discord#

Under "My profile" › "Security" › "Change e-mail address" you find the box "Change e-mail address (confirmed via Discord)" at the top. What it shows depends on whether Discord is connected and when you last signed in with Discord:

This is how "Sign in again with Discord" works:

Tap the button – You go to Discord and confirm there.
Back in the driver area – You land in "My profile". Tap "Security" once more.
Enter the new address – The box now shows the field "New e-mail address". Enter it and tap "Request change".

We then send an e-mail to the new address. Until you confirm the change there with the button, your current address stays valid.

If the 10 minutes run out while you are typing, the box tells you: "The 10 minutes after your Discord sign-in are over. Sign in again with Discord, then it works again."

The old way with a password#

The old way stays: under "Change e-mail address" enter the new address and your password and tap "Request change". This always works – also without Discord.

Stay careful

Nobody from Dispolotse will ever ask you for your password, a code or your Discord sign-in. Only change your e-mail address yourself.

Frequent questions#

I don't see the box "confirmed via Discord".#

Then the Discord way is not available for your account right now. Use the old way with a password – it always works.

I signed in again with Discord, but the box asks again.#

More than 10 minutes have passed since your Discord sign-in. Tap "Sign in again with Discord" once more.

I can't find the "Discord" card.#

Look in "My profile" on the "Security" tab. If it is not there, signing in with Discord is switched off at the moment – e-mail and password work as always.
