1. Who is responsible

The controller is Marco Libi. The postal address and contact details are in the legal notice (Impressum); he can be reached at post@dispolotse.de. No data protection officer has been appointed, and none is required under § 38 BDSG (German Federal Data Protection Act).

2. ⭐ The principle: only what is needed

This app is a game — but the people behind it are real. That is why:

  • No store of IP addresses is built up to observe people with. ⚠️⚠️ There is one exception, and since this version it is larger than before: To fend off abuse, the server counts how often an account is created, a sign-in is made or a password is entered from an address — together with the paths that belong directly to these (section 2a) —, and blocks an address from which the limit is obviously exceeded. ⭐ What is stored for this, for how long and why, is in section 2a — which also says what the operator expressly does not do with it. ⛔ Your address is not stored for driving: It is not attached to any tour, to any booking or to any statistic. ⚠️ This place used to say something else, namely that no IP address at all was stored and that the brake against too many sign-in attempts also worked without one. ⭐⭐ Since this version that is no longer true, and that is why it is said openly here instead of being silently deleted. The reason for the change is in section 2a.
  • There are no advertising trackers. No analytics service, no tracking pixel, no embedding of third-party networks, no cookies for advertising purposes and no third-party advertising. If the app points to its own website, nothing about you is recorded in the process and nothing is reported to third parties. ⏳ ⭐ New with version 1.2: How many new drivers find us through which advertisement is counted by the server itself — ⛔ only as daily numbers, without a person, without an IP address and without third parties (section 4e). The Discord button is a plain link; Discord's rules only apply once you click it. ⭐ There is exactly one cookie: the sign-in cookie of the driver area in the browser — and only if you sign in there yourself or start "Sign in with the app" („Mit der App anmelden") there. ⭐ What it contains, what it is for and how long it stays is in section 4c. ⭐ It recognises your browser solely for your own account, so that you do not need a code there every time. ⛔ There is no cookie for counting, for tracking across other sites or for advertising.
  • No data is sold and none is passed on to third parties — except to the technical service providers in section 8, without whom no server and no email works. ⏳ ⚠️ And to Discord, if your company or the operator connects a Discord channel (section 7e). ⭐ The Discord status in your own Discord profile is not sent by the server but by your app on your computer to the Discord app — and only if you switch it on yourself (section 7f).
  • There is no automated decision with legal effect and no profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

⭐ The operator's notice in the app

The app may show an own notice from the operator — about the app itself, about its website or about something new in it (terms of use 3.1). ⛔ That is not third-party advertising, and there would only be such advertising with your express consent.

⭐ Nothing about you is stored for this. There is no counting of impressions, no measuring of clicks, no advertising profile and no advertising partner to whom anything could go. ⛔ That is why this notice is not in any table of this notice — nothing arises that would have to be kept. If that changes, this notice changes with it (section 13).

⭐ Switching it off: There is a switch for this in the app.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — the legitimate interest is being allowed to point to one's own cause. ⭐ The switch is your objection under Art. 21 GDPR, and it takes effect immediately.

2a. ⭐⭐ The address of your connection (IP address) — what it is needed for

⏳ From the day on which the operator switches on the block against abuse, what follows applies. ⭐ This notice would rather say it beforehand than afterwards.

Every computer that requests something from the server passes on the address of its connection — this cannot be switched off; that is how the internet works. Until now the server did nothing with it. ⚠️ That is changing, and for one single reason: so that a single person does not clog up access for everyone else. Without this brake, someone can create thousands of accounts in one night or try out passwords — and after that nobody gets in any more.

What is stored for this:

WhatWhat forHow long
a counter per address, separated into three kinds: how often an account was created or the confirmation email was requested again from there · how often a sign-in was made, "Forgot password" („Passwort vergessen") was used or a new password was set via the link from there · how often a wrong password was entered on an account there (section 4)recognising that someone is creating accounts en masse, flooding other people's inboxes with emails or trying out passwords⭐ short — currently one day, after which it is deleted
a block list: the address, until when it is blocked and whyenforcing the block and being able to tell you why you cannot get in right now⭐ currently three days, after which the entry is deleted
a block of the account paths per connection: until when no password needed for changing or deleting is accepted on any account from there any more (section 4)preventing someone from trying out other people's accounts from one connection⭐ short — it expires by itself

⭐⭐ Exactly these actions are counted — creating an account, signing in and entering a password, each with the paths that belong directly to them: Requesting the confirmation email again belongs to creating an account; "Forgot password" and setting a new password via the link belong to signing in; a wrong password on your account — when changing your email address or password, when resetting or deleting — is counted separately (section 4). ⛔ What you do in the game is not counted: no application to a company, no accepted tour, no purchase, no page view. ⭐ Signing in also includes signing in to the driver area in the browser — with your password as well as via confirmation in the app (section 4c). ⛔ This is not a separate action, but the same signing in through a different door.

⚠️⚠️ With newer connections it is not the individual address that is counted, but the part that belongs to the connection itself. ⭐ The reason is simple: There every device gets its own address, and they change constantly — ⛔ a brake tied to the individual address would be ineffective. ⚠️ The downside is part of it: All devices behind the same connection then share one counter. ⭐ It still remains the connection and not your account, and what that can mean for you is further down in this section.

⛔ What expressly does not happen: The address is not written to your account, not attached to your tours, bookings or statistics, not evaluated to see where you live or when you play, not used for advertising and not passed on to anyone. ⛔ And there is no brake that locks everyone out at once — only the address it comes from is ever blocked.

⏳ ⭐ One thing is added, and it only concerns a new sign-in to the driver area in the browser (section 4c): From the day on which this is set up, the server looks up which country the address comes from — ⛔ only the country, no town, and ⛔ only in a country table on its own server: The address does not go out to anyone for this. ⭐ The country is attached solely to this one sign-in, so that you can recognise a stranger's attempt.

⚠️ What this can cost you: If you share your connection with others — in a hall of residence, in a workplace, via an anonymisation service —, a block that someone else triggered may hit you. ⭐ Then write to the operator: He will look at the block and can lift it. ⭐ And it expires by itself anyway.

⛔ After how many attempts a block is imposed is not stated here and will not be disclosed on request either — anyone who knows the number stays just below it, and then the whole brake is useless. ⭐ The periods, on the other hand, are in the table above, because how long something about you remains stored is very much your business.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — the legitimate interest is the secure operation of a free service for all other drivers. ⭐ You can object under Art. 21 GDPR; a block that hits you wrongly will be lifted.

3. What is stored when an account is created

WhatWhat for
Email addresssign-in, confirmation of the account, important messages (see section 7a)
Display nameso that other drivers know whom they are dealing with
Password⭐ only as a modern hash — the password itself is not stored anywhere and cannot be read by the operator either
Languageso that texts and emails arrive in the right language
Points in timewhen the account was created, confirmed and last used — for the periods in section 9

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of the user agreement).

⏳ ⭐⭐ What you do NOT find out when creating an account

⏳ From the day on which the operator switches it on, the response when creating an account is the same whether the email address entered was still free or not: You are asked to look in your inbox. ⭐ If an account already exists for the address, a notice is sent there — ⛔ and no second account.

⭐⭐ Why this is so: ⛔ Otherwise this app could be used as an information bureau about who has an account here. That is none of the business of anyone who types in someone else's address. ⭐ For you nothing changes — the message in your inbox tells you what is going on.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — the legitimate interest is protecting the addresses of everyone else.

⭐ Minimum age

The app is aimed at people aged 16 and over. It is not intended for younger people, and no data of theirs is knowingly processed. If it becomes known that an account belongs to a younger person, it is deleted.

⭐ Why 16, even though the game itself is rated for younger players: It is not about the game, but about the account — about an email address, a contract and messages with other people. This app is not made for that. You may of course still play the game; just without this app.

4. Devices and sessions

When a device signs in, the following is stored: a freely chosen device name, the type (Windows app, phone, browser), the points in time of sign-in and last use, and a session key — and this too only as a hash. The plain text is held only on the device — ⭐ in the browser in a cookie that no page can read (section 4c). ⭐ If you sign in in the browser, the page names the device itself, and only roughly: by browser and system, for example "Chrome · Android". ⛔ The full identifier of your browser is not stored for this.

Each session can be ended individually in the app — ⭐ likewise in the driver area in the browser under "Account & devices" („Konto & Geräte"). It expires anyway after the configured time. ⭐ How long it is valid depends on the type: ⏳ in the Windows app currently 90 days, on the phone 30 days, in the browser 7 days. ⭐ These are setting values — what currently applies is shown in the app with your devices and on the "My data" („Meine Daten") page (§ 6 of the terms of use).

⏳ From the day on which the app can do this, the key of your sign-in on your computer is no longer stored in plain text, but encrypted with Windows' built-in tools and bound to your Windows user account. ⭐ What this achieves: Anyone who copies the file and carries it to another computer can do nothing with it — it is not valid there. ⚠️ Conversely, this also means: If you place the same file under a different Windows user, your sign-in is no longer valid there and the app asks you to sign in again. ⛔ Your password is not stored there in any case — neither encrypted nor in any other way.

⏳ If the app later changes your password, all other signed-in devices are signed out; the device you are currently using stays signed in (§ 6 of the terms of use).

⏳ ⭐⭐ How many devices may work at the same time is limited — one drives, the others watch (§ 6 of the terms of use). ⭐ A browser in which you are signed in counts as a device; ⭐ it never drives, it always watches. ⭐ For this, only the time at which a device last reported something is recorded. ⛔ No new information about you arises from this and ⛔ nothing that goes beyond the list above. ⭐ If, when signing in, you are asked whether another device should be signed out, you see the device name, type and the time of last use — ⛔ never a session key and nothing a stranger could make use of. ⭐ And you only get this list after your password has been checked: ⛔ Anyone who does not know the password does not find out how many devices someone has.

⏳ ⭐ Your last reported position also shows which of your signed-in devices it came from (section 6). ⛔ No new characteristic of your computer arises from this: It is the same sign-in number that exists anyway according to the list above — ⛔ no identifier of your network card, no serial number and nothing else that describes your device. ⭐ Why it is there is stated in section 6.

⭐⭐ Your account also slows down too many failed attempts on itself. If a wrong password is entered too often in a row, or if attempts are made too often to change your email address, set your password or delete your account, exactly these paths are closed for a while. What is stored for this: a counter on your account, ⭐ a second one on the address of the connection the attempts come from (section 2a), and in each case the time until which the block applies. ⭐ The counter on the account blocks these paths for your account; the one on the address blocks them from this connection — for every account. ⛔ The address is not written to your account in the process. ⭐ You receive a message about this in your inbox, so that you notice when someone is trying it on you. ⛔ Neither signing in nor driving is blocked by this, and ⭐ the block expires by itself. ⛔ After how many attempts it takes effect and how long it lasts is not stated here — for the same reason as in section 2a.

Legal basis for this: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — the legitimate interest is that nobody tries out other people's passwords.

4a. ⭐ What stays on your computer

The app creates a small file on your computer with your settings — colour scheme, server address and the key of your sign-in. ⭐ That is why you do not have to sign in again every time you start it. ⏳ From the day on which the app can do this, this key is stored there encrypted and bound to your Windows user account (section 4). In addition there is a buffer for tours and measurement points that have not yet arrived at the server. ⭐⭐ This buffer is exactly the reason why a tour you have driven is not lost if the server is unreachable for once.

⭐⭐ For every entry in this buffer, it is noted under which account it was created. This is necessary because several people can sign in on one computer one after the other — ⛔ without this note, the answer to the question of whom a driven tour belongs to would not be empty, but wrong. ⭐ An entry is only sent while its own account is signed in: ⛔ The entries of another account do not go out and are not credited to any other account — they stay where they are until that account signs in again. ⭐ When signing out, only what belongs to the account that is signing out is cleared away. ⛔ The note is an account number and is stored only on your computer — it opens nothing, and ⛔ the key of your sign-in goes when you sign out in any case.

⏳ ⭐⭐ A second slot for a second account — it is open only to the operator. From the day on which the app can do this, it is possible to switch back and forth between two accounts without signing in again each time. ⭐ The key of the account not currently in use is then stored in the same locked compartment as that of the current sign-in — bound to your Windows user account and ⛔ worthless on another computer. ⛔ No part of it is in plain text on your disk, and ⛔ nothing goes to the server for this: When switching, nothing is signed in and nothing is signed out; the two slots are swapped. ⚠️ Such a key is the same house key as that of a current sign-in — ⭐ that is why only the operator sees this switch, and besides him only whoever has stored an account this way themselves, and ⭐ the way back is seen solely by the account that created it. ⭐ This compartment is cleared away together with the app's other files (above).

Nothing more is stored there, and none of it leaves your computer except what is described in section 5. ⏳ ⭐ When uninstalling, the app deletes these files itself (next paragraph).

⏳ ⭐⭐ If you uninstall the app. From the app version that can do this, the uninstallation cleans up by itself: ⭐ It deletes the folder with the app's files — including the key of your sign-in, your settings and the buffer —, as well as the folder for updates, the entry for automatic start with Windows and the shortcuts. ⚠️ One deliberate exception: If the buffer still holds tours, refuelling events or costs that have not yet arrived, this folder is left in place — otherwise a driven tour would be lost. ⭐ The app then tells you where it is and why; you can afterwards delete it yourself or start the app once more so that it sends it. ⭐ At the end, the uninstallation tells you what it has deleted and what has been left behind, with the reason — a small helper copy in the folder for temporary files disappears at the next restart of Windows.

⏳ ⭐ The file in your game's folder. So that the game can pass its driving data to the app, it needs an additional file in its program folder. If the app placed this file there itself, it remembers a fingerprint of it — on your computer, ⛔ nowhere else. When uninstalling, it asks you whether it should remove this file. ⛔ It removes only exactly this one file and only if it is unchanged and the same — never the folder, never another file and never a file of the same name that another program placed there — and not while the game is running. ⚠️ Why it asks: Other programs that use the same interface can no longer read anything without this file.

⚠️ This does not end your sign-in with the operator on the spot: The uninstallation works without any connection to the outside. The key on your computer is deleted afterwards, and the sign-in expires by itself after its period (section 9). ⭐ Anyone who wants to be signed out immediately signs out beforehand — or ends the session on another device (section 4).

⛔ Your account remains — uninstalling is not deleting. How to delete your account is stated in section 10.

⏳ Later, the backups of your save game will be added (section 5b): If you ask the app to place a job in your save game, it first places a copy of it on your computer and tells you where. ⭐ It stays there until you delete it — ⛔ the operator never sees it, and it goes nowhere.

⏳ ⭐ Also later: the map is meant to show something even when nobody is driving. For this, the app remembers on your computer where you were last on the road, and sets the map to that place when opening — with the note that it is an old state. ⭐ It is your own information, and it is stored on your computer. ⛔ No additional report to the server arises from this, and ⛔ another driver's information is not kept for this. ⭐ You can delete it together with the app's other files.

⏳ ⭐ Whether your Discord status is on (section 7f) is likewise remembered by the app only here, on this computer — ⛔ the operator does not learn of it.

4b. ⭐⭐ Images: a company's logo and coat of arms and your driver picture

If you upload an image — the logo or the coat of arms of your company or a picture of you and your truck —, the following is stored: the image itself (in the version the server makes of it), the time of the upload, who uploaded it, whether it is to be publicly visible and — if it comes to that — that and why the operator has blocked it.

⭐⭐ Your file is not passed on, but newly generated. The server checks the bytes to see whether it is an image at all, scales it to a smaller size and writes it anew. ⭐ Whatever else was in the file does not survive this — not even the capture data that a camera or phone writes into it (location, time, device). ⛔ The original file name is also discarded and replaced with a new one.

⏳ ⭐⭐ In addition, there is what arises from the review: what status the image is in (waiting for review, accepted, rejected), when the decision was made, who decided and — in the case of a rejection — the reason, which you receive as a message.

⏳ ⭐⭐ Until it is accepted, nobody sees the image — ⛔ not even your company. ⭐ Only you yourself and the people who are allowed to review get to see it: the operator and the persons he has appointed for this. ⭐ This is a role that he assigns and can take away again, ⛔ not a right that comes with a company or a rank.

⏳ ⚠️ If an image is rejected, the file is deleted — ⛔ not merely hidden. ⭐ The reason remains in your inbox, so that you know what the problem was.

⏳ ⭐ Who sees an accepted image is up to you — with the three levels from 6.1 of the terms of use. ⭐ On sign-up it is set to "public". A company's logo and coat of arms are there for promotion and are visible to everyone.

⚠️ An image can contain personal data — yours or that of another person. That is why 9.1 of the terms of use applies to it: You may only upload what you are allowed to upload, and no other people without their consent.

⏳ How long: as long as you leave it up. There is one picture of you and ⏳ one picture of your truck, plus one logo and one coat of arms per company — a new one replaces the old one as soon as it is accepted, and in the process the old one disappears. ⭐ If you delete your account, your images are deleted (section 10); nothing remains.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — the image is part of what you wanted to show in the app. For blocking an image ⏳ and for the review before display, additionally Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (section 12): One must be allowed to look at a reported image — ⭐ and all the more so beforehand at an image that is to be shown to everyone straight away.

Picture from Discord

Instead of uploading a picture you can take over your Discord picture. Dispolotse fetches it once from Discord and stores its own copy — exactly like an uploaded picture: redrawn, reduced and only visible after the operator has approved it. If your picture changes at Discord, nothing changes here by itself; you can fetch it again with one click. Nobody viewing your page loads anything from Discord.

4c. ⭐⭐ The driver area in the browser

⏳ From the day the operator activates it, you can also view and manage your account in the browser — on a PC, a phone or a tablet, at dispolotse.de/fahrer/. ⭐ It shows you what the app shows you, under the same rules — the three levels of your profile apply there in exactly the same way (6.1 of the terms of use). ⭐ Step by step you will be able to do everything there that you do in the app — including in the dealer area; ⭐ for this, the same information goes to the server as from the app, no more. ⛔ There is no driving there: The driver area reads nothing from your game and nothing from your computer, and it reports no position.

So that you do not have to enter your password with every click, the server places a single cookie in your browser after you sign in — ⭐ likewise as soon as you start "Sign in with the app" („Mit der App anmelden") there:

WhatThe sign-in cookie
Name__Host-vtc
What it contains⭐ two random keys — nothing else: the key of your sign-in and a key by which the server recognises your browser for your account (below: "The code by e-mail"). ⛔ No name, no e-mail address, no account number. On the server both are stored only as a hash (section 4)
What forso that the server knows you are signed in — ⭐ and so that a browser in which you have already entered a code does not need a new one every time
How long⭐ The sign-in in it is valid as long as your sign-in in the browser — currently 7 days (setting value, section 9). ⭐ The cookie itself remains for up to 90 days — that is how long the key by which your browser is recognised is valid. ⭐ If you sign out in the browser, the sign-in in it is gone immediately; the key for the browser remains, ⏳ unless you choose "Forget this browser" („Diesen Browser vergessen") when signing out — then it goes too. If you end the sign-in from another device, it is no longer valid from then on. ⭐ If you delete the cookie in your browser, you are signed out, and the browser counts as new again
Who can read it⭐ only the server of this provider. ⛔ The page itself cannot read it (HttpOnly), ⛔ it is not sent over an unencrypted connection (Secure), and ⛔ your browser does not send it along from a third-party page (SameSite=Strict)

⭐⭐ Why you are not asked about this: This cookie is strictly necessary so that what you have expressly requested works — your sign-in and its protection. ⭐ Under Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG this requires no consent, and that is why there is no cookie banner. ⛔ The driver area sets no other cookie — none for counting, none for tracking across other sites, none for advertising.

⭐ What else your browser keeps

  • ⭐ A few settings in your browser's storage: the colour scheme (light or dark), the language, which game you last viewed (Euro Truck Simulator 2 or American Truck Simulator) and, on some pages, the last selected tab. ⭐ When you sign in, it briefly remembers which page you wanted to open, so that you land there afterwards — ⭐ this is gone again when you close the window.
  • ⏳ From the day the driver area can be placed on your phone's home screen, your browser keeps the files of the page — appearance and program, so that it starts faster. ⛔ Your data is not part of this: no account balance, no message, no tour. ⭐ That is why an old account balance can never be shown to you. ⭐ It also remembers that you have dismissed the notice about this.
  • ⛔ None of this goes to the server, and none of it describes you. ⭐ You can delete it at any time in your browser ("Delete website data" („Websitedaten löschen")).
  • ⭐ Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG applies to this as well — it serves solely what you yourself use.

⏳ ⭐ If you switch on notifications, your browser additionally keeps its registration with the notification service for this — ⚠️ unlike the points above, it also goes to the server, otherwise no notification would arrive. ⭐ What is stored in the process and how you switch it off is described below under "Notifications on your phone". ⭐ For this, Section 25(1) TDDDG applies — your consent.

⛔⛔ Nothing is loaded from third-party servers: no fonts, no maps, no analytics service. ⭐ The page is technically prohibited from doing so — it may only load files from its own server. ⛔ It is also not allowed to use the camera, microphone or location, and ⭐ if you leave it via a link, the next page does not learn where you came from.

⏳ ⭐⭐ The code by e-mail for a new browser

⏳ From the day the driver area can do this, the following applies: If you sign in in a browser that the server does not yet know for your account, it sends a six-digit code to your registered address. ⭐ Only with this code are you signed in there. ⭐ A browser counts as known if, in it, you have entered a code for this account or confirmed the sign-in in the app within the last 90 days — recognised by the key in the cookie (above), ⛔ not by the description of the browser, because anyone could imitate that. ⭐ If you change your password or reset it via "Forgot password" („Passwort vergessen"), no browser counts as known any more — the next time a code comes again.

What is stored for this: ⭐ the code only as a hash, when it expires (after 10 minutes), how often it has already been entered incorrectly (⛔ there are only a few attempts) and the description of the browser that requested it. ⭐ Each code is valid only once; ⭐ after use it is deleted immediately, an expired one is worthless and is deleted at the next clean-up. ⭐ The e-mail tells you the browser and the time, so that you can recognise someone else's attempt — ⛔ never your password. ⭐ Too many wrong codes slow down this route as described in section 4 — with its own counter; ⭐ if it is closed for this reason, you receive an e-mail about it. ⭐ For a known browser, the following is stored: the key from the cookie — only as a hash —, the description of the browser and until when it counts as known.

⏳ ⭐⭐ The re-check before money and access data

⏳ From the day the driver area can do this, it asks you for your password once more before you transfer money there, set up a standing order, change your e-mail address or your password or delete your account. ⭐ All that is stored for this is until when this confirmation is valid — 10 minutes —, namely on your sign-in in the browser. ⛔ Your password is not stored in the process, it is only checked as when signing in. ⛔ Nothing changes in the Windows app as a result.

⏳ ⭐ "Sign in with the app"

⏳ From the day this route exists, you can also sign in in the browser without a password: ⭐ You start it in your signed-in Windows app and enter the e-mail address of your account in the browser. ⭐ The page then shows you a comparison code, which you type into the app — this way you see that it is your browser, and ⛔ a mere click is never enough. ⭐ Only then is the browser signed in; ⭐ the confirmation in the app replaces the code by e-mail here. What is stored for this: a number for this one process and the comparison code — both only as a hash —, when the process expires (after 120 seconds), how far it has got (waiting, confirmed, rejected), the description of the browser, so that the app can show you who is asking, and the key from this browser's cookie — only as a hash —, so that no other browser can collect the sign-in. ⛔ The e-mail address you enter in the browser is not stored for this. ⭐ The process is valid only once and is deleted as soon as it is finished; an expired one at the next clean-up. ⛔ Before you confirm in the app, the browser learns nothing about your account — not even whether one exists for that address. ⭐ How often this route can be used in an hour is limited, and it is counted against misuse like signing in (section 2a).

⭐ Your devices

⭐ A sign-in in the browser appears in the same list as every other device (section 4) and counts towards the limit of how many devices may work at the same time (section 4). ⭐ If one too many is added, the page asks you beforehand, just like the app. ⏳ ⭐ From the day it is set up this way, the question in the app during "Sign in with the app" and the message about a new sign-in in the browser also tell you the country from which it came — only the country, determined solely on the operator's own server (section 2a).

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for the driver area itself and your sign-in; ⭐ for the code by e-mail, the re-check before money and access data and the limit on "Sign in with the app" Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — the legitimate interest is that nobody gets at your account or your money with a stolen password. ⭐ For what your browser keeps: Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG.

⏳ ⭐ Notifications on your phone (push)

⏳ From the day the driver area can do this, you can have notifications sent to you — for example for a new message. ⭐ This only happens if you switch it on yourself in your account and your browser has asked you for permission; ⭐ switching it off is possible at any time, in your account or in your browser's settings.

What is stored for this: the receiving address that your browser generates for this, and two keys with which the message is encrypted, plus when you switched it on, which browser it is (only its name, e.g. "Chrome"), in which language the notification arrives, when one last arrived or you last sent yourself a test message, up to which message in your inbox you have already been notified and how often delivery failed most recently. ⭐ When you switch it off or delete your account, this is deleted — ⭐ even earlier, for example if you set a new password via the link under "Forgot password", if your browser's service no longer knows the receiving address or if delivery fails eight times in a row.

⚠️⚠️ A third party is involved here: A notification runs via the notification service of your browser's manufacturer (for Chrome Google, for Safari Apple, for Firefox Mozilla, for Edge Microsoft). ⭐ The content is encrypted in the process — only your browser can read it. ⚠️ However, this service does see that a message went to your receiving address and when, and it may be located outside the EU. ⛔ Without your switch, nothing goes there.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent, revocable at any time); the storing in the browser Section 25(1) TDDDG (likewise your consent).

4d. Signing in with Discord

You may additionally sign in with your Discord account, create an account with it or connect Discord to your existing account. You do not have to — signing in with e-mail and password stays as it is.

What happens: you are sent to Discord and confirm there yourself that Dispolotse may read your Discord ID, user name and profile picture — when creating an account also the e-mail address stored at Discord, so you do not have to type it. Discord gives us a key that we use for exactly one request and revoke at Discord straight afterwards. It is never stored.

What we keep: your Discord ID (a number), your Discord user name and a short code of your Discord picture — and when you connected. Not: your servers, friends, messages or anything else from Discord. Discord's e-mail address only if you take it over as your account address — and even then you confirm it with our own e-mail before the account is valid.

Every account needs an e-mail address, including one created with Discord: confirmations, a new password and important notices go there. The minimum age of 16 applies here as well.

The operator sees in his driver list which Discord user name your account is connected to. The website never shows your Discord name.

Disconnecting: any time in your account; for an account without a password only after you have set one — otherwise you could no longer get in. Disconnecting deletes the ID, user name and picture code. You receive a message in your mailbox when you connect and disconnect.

In the Windows app your browser opens for this; Discord's answer only goes back to the app on your own computer.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — you choose this way of signing in yourself. Discord is the service you use yourself; what Discord knows about you is governed by Discord's terms. Transfer to the USA: section 8.

4e. ⏳ ⭐ How you heard about us — only counted

⏳ From the day the operator switches it on, Dispolotse counts through which advertisement and which way new drivers find us — so that we can see which advertising works. ⛔ Nothing about you as a person is stored for this: the server only keeps numbers per day and per advertisement.

What is counted from:

WhatFrom whereVoluntary?
⭐ your answer to "How did you hear about Dispolotse?"a choice when creating an account in the app — ⭐ "No answer" is preselected; ⛔ there is no free text field⭐⭐ yes — without an answer everything works the same
⭐ the tag of an advertising link (the addition ?von=…, for example ?von=reddit)from the address with which you call up the start page or the download⭐ it only exists if you come through such a link
how often the start page was called up and the app was downloadedfrom a separate counting log of the web server (below)⛔ no — it arises with the visit

⭐ What comes of it: per day and per advertisement three numbers — start-page visits, app downloads and new accounts. ⛔ None of it is stored on your account, not even your answer; ⛔ the operator does not link the numbers to accounts, and they go to no one else. ⭐ An answer or tag the server does not know counts as "elsewhere" („Woanders").

⭐ In the browser nothing is kept for this — ⛔ no cookie and no entry in your browser's storage.

⭐ The counting log of the web server: For the daily numbers the web server writes a separate, small log — only for visits to the start page and the download of the app: time, address called up including the advertising tag, the server's response and whether the visit looks like a search program or a link preview. ⛔ No IP address, no browser identifier, no page you came from, and no cookie. Once a day the server counts the previous day's numbers from it; ⭐ the log itself is deleted after four days at the most. ⭐ The ordinary access log of the web server (section 8) stays as it is and ⛔ is not evaluated for this.

How long: The daily numbers are kept; ⛔ they carry no reference to a person (section 9).

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — the legitimate interest is knowing which advertising works for a free service. ⭐ You give the answer in the app voluntarily. ⭐ You can object by choosing no answer and calling up the website without the addition ?von=….

5. ⭐⭐ The game data from Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator

The heart of it: While you play, the app reads the game's telemetry interface — that is, what the game itself provides about the current drive. In addition, it reads which mods are active in your game, and in multiplayer via TruckersMP the name of the server (both see below). It reads nothing else on your computer.

⭐ There are three exceptions, and you trigger all three yourself: the image that you select for upload (section 4b) — and only exactly that one file —, the files of your save game when you ask the app to place a job into it for you (section 5b), and the map data of your game when you open the shared map for the first time (see below).

The evaluation takes place locally on the computer. Only what is needed for the settlement is sent to the server — ⭐ in addition, only with your yes, the learning mode (section 5c), which only records if you said yes at the first start after installing or after an update (or confirmed it later when switching it on) and it is switched on in the settings:

For a tour: start and destination, cargo and quantity, client, kilometres driven, start and end in UTC, the vehicle driven and the trailer, the condition of the vehicle, the game mode (single player or multiplayer), from which job market of the game the job came and whether the trailer belonged to the client or to you, from which of the two games the tour comes (in American Truck Simulator also the revenue in dollars, as the game states it) and a unique identifier of the report.

⏳ The app also reports which vehicle it is: the make and model as the game displays them, plus the designation under which the game lists this vehicle, and the type of trailer. ⭐ What for: Only from this can it be recognised whether you are sitting in a vehicle that belongs to you or is rented by you, or in someone else's — this determines how a tour is settled (2.5 of the terms of use). ⛔ None of this information says anything about you yourself.

⭐⭐ If the service does not yet know a reported vehicle or a reported type, it learns it instead of rejecting the report. For this, there is one line on your account per vehicle and per type: the designation from the game, make and model, when it was first and last reported and how often — and, if you were driving for a company at the time, for which one. ⭐ What for: A mod can bring vehicles and trailers that do not exist in the game itself; without these lines the service would have to reject such reports. ⛔⛔ Because of this, nothing is blocked, no tour is rejected and no revenue is reduced — ⭐ they can be viewed by the operator, who adds the missing vehicles step by step. ⏳ How long: as long as your account exists; if you delete it, the line remains without any reference to a person — exactly like the mod list further below.

For a refuelling: litres, time in UTC, the position in the game (X and Z coordinate) and, if known, the city identifier. ⭐ What the position is for: From it the server determines in which country the refuelling took place — the diesel price depends on this. ⏳ In addition, the licence plate of the vehicle you are currently sitting in, insofar as the game provides it. ⭐ What the licence plate is for: Only from this can a transaction be assigned to the correct vehicle and thus to the correct account. ⛔ It is the identifier of a vehicle in a game world and not an official licence plate.

While driving, the app transmits at short intervals the position of your truck in the game world (X/Z coordinate), the detected country and the map version to the server — ⭐ collected, not at every metre, and ⛔ only as long as your truck is actually rolling. From this the operator builds the map of the game (cities, borders, routes). ⭐ Only part of this remains in the server's map table: per city your two most recent points and the points from which the server learns where a city is located. ⭐ They are deleted after 30 days; the condensed map remains. ⚠️ Clean-up takes place once a week — a point can therefore remain there for up to 37 days. ⭐ These 30 days are fixed in the program and not a setting value of the operator — ⛔ they therefore do not appear on the "My data" („Meine Daten") page, and ⭐ what is stated here applies (section 9). ⚠️⚠️ All other points are not deleted but kept — without a time limit (further below: "The recording of the routes you have driven"). ⛔ How short the intervals are is not stated in this notice — it is a setting of the operator, and it does not change what is transmitted. These are positions in a game world, not your location in the real world.

For costs on the road: type of transaction (toll, ferry, fine, workshop), amount from the game, time, position and a unique identifier — ⏳ and here too the licence plate of the vehicle, for the same reason.

⭐ Which TruckersMP server you are on

⭐ New with version 1.1: If you drive in multiplayer via TruckersMP, the app also reports which public server you are currently on (for example "Simulation 1"). It reads the name from the log file that the TruckersMP program itself creates in your Documents folder (folder ETS2MP or ATSMP, inside it logs). ⛔ This happens only while you drive in multiplayer, and only this name is taken — ⛔ the file itself does not leave your computer, and nothing about your TruckersMP account is read or sent. The name goes to the server with your position while driving (above) and once with the finished tour.

⭐ What for: So that your drive shows where you are — ⭐ the members of your company and the operator then see, for example, "TMP · EU SIM 1", and "Singleplayer" when you drive alone. ⭐ A ProMods server also shows which map you are driving on. ⭐ The statistics of your company and of the operator count how many drivers and tours were on the road alone and how many on which server. ⛔ Publicly, only totals without names appear — tours, kilometres and the number of drivers per game mode and per server, ⭐ already from 1 driver (section 6c).

⏳ How long: at the tour, as long as the tour itself; if you delete your account, the information remains without reference to a person like the other tour figures (section 10). ⭐ At your position only the most recently reported name is kept — the next report overwrites it.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — the display for your company and the correct map are part of what the app is. For the aggregated figures, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR applies alongside (section 6c).

⏳ ⭐⭐ Standard and Race ("Renn") — one line per tour

During a tour, the app remembers how many kilometres and how much time you drove up to a fixed limit and above it — above a fixed speed limit that the app measures itself. Only time when you are actually driving is counted; breaks, ferry and train do not count.

⭐ Exactly one line per tour goes to the server: kilometres and seconds "Standard" (up to the limit), kilometres and seconds "Race" (above the limit) and the limit with which it was measured. ⛔ Individual speeds, times or places of your drive do not leave your computer for this — the app adds them up on your computer and forgets them at the end of the tour.

The line is attached to the tour and remains as long as the tour remains (section 9). If the operator later changes the limit, your completed tour stays as it was. An older app version that does not know this line reports none of it — the tour then counts as "not measured" („nicht gemessen"), ⛔ not as "driven slowly".

⛔ Nothing follows from this line against you: no penalty, no reduction, no fine. Fines continue to arise only from what the game itself reports (section 5).

⏳ ⭐⭐ Accidents — light and severe counted separately, per tour

The app detects on your computer when your truck, your trailer or your cargo is noticeably damaged in an impact, and counts this as an accident. ⭐ Each accident counts exactly once — either as a light accident or, if it was particularly violent, as a severe accident; ⛔ a severe one does not additionally count as a light one. ⭐ Several impacts in quick succession are one accident. Wear, a repair, a change of vehicle or trailer and gaps in the game's data do not count.

⭐ Exactly this goes to the server per tour: how many light and how many severe accidents the tour had and with which scale the app counted — so that a later change to the app does not alter your old tours. ⛔⛔ When and where the crash happened, how high the damage was and how fast you were going do not leave your computer for this — the app only keeps a few numbers in memory and forgets them at the end of the tour; ⛔ it writes nothing to the disk for this.

Counting only takes place during a tour, ⛔ not during an empty run. If the app could not measure a tour (for example an older app version), it says "not measured" there — ⛔ never "0 accidents". If the number does not fit the tour, it is stored as "not measured"; ⛔ the tour itself is never rejected because of this.

⛔ Nothing follows from this number against you: no penalty, no reduction, no fine. Fines continue to arise only from what the game itself reports. ⚠️ Should a function of the game ever use this number, this notice will change at the same time.

Who sees the numbers: you yourself in your statistics; the management of your company (section 6); a Discord channel of your company only if the owner switches it on there (section 7e). ⭐ Publicly, accidents only appear as a total — light and severe separately —, never with your name (section 6c).

⭐⭐ The recording of the routes you have driven — without a time limit

  • ⚠️⚠️ Every point that has to leave the map table is first written into a recording that belongs to your account — one file per month. ⭐ For each point it contains: the coordinate in the game world, the country, the map version, the nearest city, when the point was measured and when it was received, and which tour it belongs to.
  • ⚠️⚠️ This creates a driving trail: From the recording it can be traced where you drove with which tour and when. ⭐ This is stated here because that is how it is.
  • ⚠️ There is no time limit for this. ⭐ The recording is deleted with your account (section 10) — ⛔ not before.
  • ⭐ What for: Once a week the server reads the recordings of the last 14 days of all drivers and learns from them how the roads run between two cities. ⭐ What is created in the process has no reference to a person: per pair of cities a line of coordinates, averaged from at most six drives — ⛔ without names, without drivers and without times. ⭐ The shared map shows these lines to everyone, also on the website (section 6).
  • ⛔ Who sees the recording: no other driver and not your company either — ⛔ there is no view for it in the app. It is read solely by the server, for the lines above; ⚠️ access to it is held by whoever operates the server (sections 1 and 8).
  • ⭐ They remain positions in a game world — not your location in the real world.
  • ⭐⭐ Up to version 0.8, this notice only stated that the raw position data would be deleted after 30 days. ⚠️ In the meantime, however, older points are moved into this recording — ⭐ this is stated here and not changed silently.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — the shared map is part of this service (section 6), and without driven routes it would not know how the roads between the cities run.

⏳ ⭐⭐ When a transaction is not booked

⏳ From the day the operator switches it on, a reported refuelling or cost transaction may not end up on your account — namely when it belongs to a vehicle that cannot be attributed to you (terms of use 2.5). ⭐ The report is not thrown away because of this: A line is created with what the transaction contained — the licence plate sent along, the amount that would have been booked without this rule, the quantity, the detected country, the time and the assignment to your account and, if there is one, to the tour.

⭐ What for: Two things. Firstly, so that the costs can be charged retroactively if, when your tour is reported, it turns out that you did drive it with your own or a rented vehicle after all — without this line they would be irretrievably gone, and you would get off more cheaply than is correct. Secondly, so that it remains recognisable when someone systematically attributes their costs to someone else's vehicle and still takes the revenue themselves. ⛔ What the service checks this by is not stated here — it is not stated in the terms of use either.

⛔ No other driver and no company sees these lines — only the operator, and he only ever sees the most recent ones. ⭐ No booking is created in the process: A record of a transaction that did not take place would be an untruth in your account statement.

⏳ How long: like the bookings — they remain, but after your account is deleted they are without reference to a person (section 10).

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for charging the costs retroactively — it is part of the settlement, which is the purpose of the app; for detecting misuse additionally Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (section 12).

⭐⭐ Your mod list

Together with the driving data, the app sends a list of the mods ("Mods") that are active in your game: their identifier, the version and, if there is one, the displayed name. For this, it looks into the files in which the game itself keeps this list. If a component comes from the Steam Workshop, it additionally reads its description file in the Workshop folder — from there come the name, the identifier from the Workshop and the classification that the creator gave their component.

New with version 1.1: for every mod the app also sends all categories the author gave and a short description from its description file (cut to at most 300 characters, without formatting). It prefers the display name from the log file the game writes itself (game.log.txt), where the name of every active mod stands. It also reads mods stored as folders instead of archives and the Workshop folder of both games (Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator). Only this name is taken from the game log, nothing else, not even the author’s name. Purpose: so that the operator can place every mod correctly instead of seeing only a number. It is kept like the rest of the mod list.

⭐⭐ The game itself is not a mod. What belongs to the game — its base content and the extensions it comes with — is not listed as a mod and is not learned in this list. ⭐ It is exclusively about what you have added yourself. ⭐ Why this is stated here: These are files that are the same on every computer — no line at all is therefore created about them any more, and less is the right thing here. ⏳ Older lines of this kind disappear as soon as the server has caught up.

⚠️⚠️ Until 6 September 2026, this place stated that the game's extensions would not be reported at all. ⭐⭐ That has no longer been true since then, and that is why it is said openly here instead of being deleted silently: The app now also reports which map extensions are in your game — ⛔ not as a mod and not in this list, but as a separate item of information with its own purpose. ⭐ What happens in the process is described in the next section.

⭐ What for: Some mods change cities, maps or prices. Without this list the server could not correctly assign your drives and could not recognise which map you are travelling on; in addition, fairness towards everyone else requires that it remains recognisable when someone obtains money or freight outside the game. The operator sees the list in order to add new mods step by step. ⭐⭐ Nothing is blocked, no tour is rejected and nobody is penalised.

⏳ ⭐ You do not get to see this list as an overview in the app — it only states there that your extensions have been recorded. ⭐ It is the operator who has it in front of him, who classifies them. ⛔ This does not change what is reported and stored — ⭐ and you can at any time demand to be shown what is stored about you (section 11).

⏳ ⭐⭐ One case arising from this concerns your money — that is why it is stated here explicitly. If a mod that multiplies game money is running during a tour, the revenue of this tour is not calculated from the amount the game displays, but according to the kilometres driven (§ 8 of the terms of use). ⭐ It is recorded on this tour that it was calculated this way, and ⭐ you receive a note about it in the settlement and a message in your inbox. ⛔ Another driver sees nothing of this. ⛔⛔ Nothing is blocked in the process and nobody is penalised — ⭐ the tour counts. ⛔ How this is detected is stated nowhere — neither here nor in the message, because whoever knew it would get around it.

⏳ How long: For every mod and each of its versions there is one line on your account as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, it remains without any reference to a person — exactly like the bookings in section 10.

⚠️ These are positions in a game world, not locations in the real world. The app does not know anyone's real whereabouts and does not query them.

⭐⭐ Which map extensions are in your game

Together with the same list, the app reports the names of the extensions with which your game enlarges its map — these are the names of the files in which the game stores them. ⭐ They come from the same files as the mod list above; ⛔ nothing additional is read on your computer for this, and nothing is opened that is not read anyway.

⭐⭐ What for: So that the job board only shows jobs that you can actually drive. A job that leads through a city that does not even exist in your game is not a job for you but a nuisance — it could be neither loaded nor delivered. ⭐ Without this information the business would not know which jobs it may offer you at all.

⭐ What of it is stored — and it is less than the app sends: Only what enlarges the map is kept. For each of these extensions there is one line on your account: the name of the file, when it was first and when it was last reported. ⛔ Everything else is thrown away on arrival — trailers, cabs, paint jobs and whatever else there is: ⛔ they are not stored, not counted and not evaluated.

⛔⛔ What this expressly is not: ⛔ not proof of purchase — it contains no price, no purchase date and no order number, and the operator does not learn whether and how you acquired anything; ⛔ nothing from your account with the provider of the game — the app does not log in there, reads nothing there and knows neither your identifier there nor your game collection (section 5b); ⛔ not a picture of your computer — the line says nothing about your device, your other programs or files outside the game.

⛔ None of it is passed on (section 8). ⭐ Another driver does not see which extensions you have — he only sees what is offered to him himself on the board.

⭐ If you remove an extension from your game, its line disappears by itself — with the next report. ⭐ Jobs you have already accepted remain unaffected.

⏳ How long: as long as your account exists. If you delete it, the line remains without any link to a person — ⚠️ exactly like the mod list above it. ⛔ So it is not deleted, but loses the human being it belonged to (section 10).

⭐ If your app does not report this information — older versions of the app do not —, only the jobs of the base map are open to you on the board. ⭐ As soon as it has done so once, the board is complete again. ⛔⛔ Nothing is blocked because of this, no tour is rejected and nobody is penalised.

⏳ ⭐ What the operator sees from this — and only he: how many drivers are on the road with the base map, how many with which extension and how many kilometres are driven in which region (section 6). ⭐ These are totals over everyone together. ⛔ They contain no name, no identifier and no individual line of a driver, ⛔ no other driver gets to see them, and ⛔ no ranking is created from them. ⭐ What for: so that jobs are created where there are also drivers who can drive them — ⛔ a region for which nobody has the required extension is not supplied in the first place.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — without this information no job could be offered to you that you can actually drive, and that is precisely the purpose of this app. ⏳ For the aggregated figures that only the operator sees, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR applies alongside — the legitimate interest is to keep an overview of one's own service and to improve it where driving really takes place. ⭐ They carry no personal reference.

⏳ ⭐⭐ The map image is created on your computer

⏳ From the day the shared map exists (section 6), the app needs an image of the roads that really exist in your game — with all the mods you use. ⭐ It creates it on your computer from your own game installation, once, and only when you open the map for the first time. If you never open it, nothing happens.

  • ⛔ These files are not sent to the server — neither in whole nor in part. What is created is a drawing, and it stays on your computer.
  • ⛔ The operator gets nothing from it, and he does not deliver anything to you for it either.
  • ⭐ You can delete the drawing at any time — the next time you open the map it is created anew. How long that takes, the app tells you while it happens.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — without this image the map would show different roads than your game. ⭐ This concerns data on your own computer; nothing is created at the operator's end.

⭐ If you switch save game

If you start a tour and then continue playing on a different save game, the started tour is kept and rests until you resume it (terms of use 2.2). So that the server can recognise it later, the following is stored with it: what your save game can be recognised by — licence plate, odometer reading and make and model of your truck —, plus start and destination, the cargo, the distance already driven, the time so far and the vehicles that are involved in this tour.

⭐ What for: Only in this way can it be checked on resuming whether it really is the same started tour on the same save game. ⛔ Your game profile itself is not read — what is recognisable is the save game, not the human being behind it.

⏳ How long: until you resume the tour or until it is cancelled (terms of use 2.2). After that, one line remains in the cancellation record of your account — it is the proof of what a fee was based on, and belongs to the bookings from section 10.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — without these reports there is nothing to calculate; they are the purpose of the app. For detecting abuse, additionally Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (section 12).

5a. ⭐⭐ How it is checked whether a report can be genuine

This app calculates with figures that your computer reports. So that the figures of all drivers are worth something, the server looks at every report before it books it.

⭐ What is checked is the report itself — whether its values lie within what is possible: the kilometres of a tour, the weight of the cargo, the reported revenue, the amount of a damage. Added to this is the list of your mods from section 5.

  • ⛔ No picture of you as a human being is built, and nothing is collected that does not belong to your tours anyway (section 5). The check looks at one report, not at a human being.
  • ⭐ What can happen: A report that cannot be like that is set aside — it is stored, but not calculated and not paid. ⭐⭐ You find out about it: A message arrives in your inbox, and it states the reason.
  • ⭐ In the end a human being decides. If you consider a tour that was set aside to be correct, contact the operator; he will look into the matter. ⛔ This is not an automated decision with legal effect within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR — it concerns a booking in the game.
  • ⛔ What exactly triggers a check is not stated here. It would be worthless the moment someone could look up the limit.
  • ⏳ Checks may be added — for example, whether distance and driving time match each other. ⭐ No new types of data are created in the process: What is checked is what you report anyway.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — the legitimate interest is a fair game for everyone and protection against abuse; Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, insofar as it concerns the correct accounting of your own tours.

5b. ⭐⭐ If you ask the app to put a job into your save game

⭐ Today the app does not touch your save game. ⏳ From the day it can put jobs from the freight exchange into it (7.1 of the terms of use), it reads and writes files on your computer for this — and only when you expressly request it.

⭐ What it looks at for this:

WhatWhat for
the save game file of your profilethat is where the job ends up; beforehand it is read whether it is readable at all and belongs to you
the settings file of the gamefrom it, the app reads the storage format; at your click it changes one line in it (7.1)
the log that the game writes when loadingfrom it, the app sees whether the game accepted the job or whether something went wrong — and what caused it
the files with the list of your modsthe same as in section 5, for the same reason

⭐⭐ What of this leaves your computer: not the files. ⛔ Your save game file, your settings file and the game's log are not sent to the server. All that goes to the server is that a job was inserted and whether it worked — and, as before, the list of your mods and the details by which your save game can be recognised (section 5).

⛔⛔ The app does not change your location in the game in the process. It does not move your rig and does not write any place into your save game (7.2 of the terms of use). ⭐ What goes to the server about your position anyway is stated in section 5, and who sees it is stated in section 6.

⭐ The backup stays with you. Before every write operation the app makes a copy of your save game on your computer (section 4a). ⛔ The operator never sees it, and it goes nowhere.

⭐ One question to your operating system — and only one: Is the game running right now? It is asked before the settings file is changed, because that only works when the game has been closed. The question concerns exactly this one program, and the app compares whether it comes from the folder that it found during setup. ⛔ No list of your running programs is created, nothing of it is stored and nothing of it is reported to the server.

⭐ Steam Cloud: If your profile is in the Steam Cloud, the app does not write into it. ⛔ This is recognised solely by where the files are located — by nothing else. ⛔ The app has no access to your Steam account, does not log in there, reads nothing there and stores nothing from there.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — it is exactly what you asked the app to do.

5c. ⭐⭐ The learning mode — only with your yes

⭐ What it is about: Which events the game really reports — types of fines, traffic lights, trailer body types, makes — can only be found out by looking. That is what the learning mode is for.

⭐⭐ The learning mode exists for every driver, so that data can be collected for it. ⭐ On the first start after installing or after an update, the app asks you once whether you want to take part. ⛔ Recording only takes place if you expressly said yes to this question (or confirmed it later when switching it on, see below) — and only as long as the switch in the app's settings is on. The switch is set to "on" from the start; ⛔ without your yes, nothing is recorded nevertheless. If you say no, the learning mode records nothing for you — ⭐ the app can then do exactly the same for you. ⭐ If you said no on the first start, you can switch the learning mode on later in the settings; the app then asks once more for confirmation. ⭐ You can switch it on and off at any time in the app's settings; if it is off, nothing goes out any more. ⭐ For every switching on and off you get a message in your inbox. ⭐ The server keeps your answer — whether you said yes or no, when, whether in response to the question on the first start or with the switch, in which version of the app, and how your switch is set —, so that it can be shown that you consented. An earlier yes remains as proof, even if you later switch the learning mode off; ⛔ nothing is recorded then nevertheless. These details go with your account (section 9).

What then additionally goes to the server: events of your drive with their type and their time, the period they come from, in which of the two games you drove and — if there was one — the tour they belong to. ⛔ Not the game's continuous data stream, ⛔ nothing from your computer outside the game. ⛔ Nothing is booked and nothing is calculated from it — not a cent, no statistics.

Who sees it: only the operator, for evaluation. How long: ⭐ each recording currently 14 days from receipt, then it is deleted (setting value, section 9). ⭐ If you delete your account, it disappears immediately (section 10).

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR — your consent, revocable at any time; ⭐ the revocation applies to everything that comes afterwards.

6. What arises from this in the game

The reports give rise to the game's data: tours and logbook, accounts and bookings, vehicles, firms, employment relationships in the game, rankings and statistics.

⭐ This also includes the private life of your game character — home, car, pets, leisure, holidays, ⭐ whether it pays church contribution and what it spends per month. ⚠️ These are game values and say nothing about you. ⛔ Do not enter anything from your real life there that you do not want to disclose — the app does not need it. ⭐ Settings of the app are stored on your account — for example which areas you have expanded or collapsed, whether you have already seen an introduction and which game you are currently viewing —, so that they are the same on each of your devices. ⛔ They say nothing about you.

If you drive in a company, your tours, costs and statements are seen by the management of this company — otherwise it could not do the accounting. If you have no company, your data is seen by no one except yourself and the operator, insofar as necessary for operation.

⏳ ⭐⭐ Your profile — you decide who sees what

⏳ From the day the app can do this, you decide yourself for each item of your profile who may see it: public („öffentlich") (every logged-in driver), your company only („nur deine Spedition") or private („privat") (only you yourself). This concerns: name, pictures, vehicle, your figures, your tachograph, your employment, country and language, your joining date.

⭐ Almost everything is set to "public" when you sign up — ⭐ which truck you drive and with whom you are employed, on the other hand, start on "your company only". ⭐ You can set each item to any of the three levels at any time, each one separately. ⭐⭐ Until 8 September 2026 it said here that everything starts on "public" — ⭐ this is stated here and not silently changed. ⭐ All that is stored for this is which level you have chosen, one per item; ⛔ no new information about you is created by this.

⭐⭐ Where this is shown: in your profile in the app. There you see for each item which level it is currently on, and there you change it. ⛔ The page "My data" („Meine Daten") (section 11) does not show the levels — it shows what is stored, where it comes from and how long it remains.

⏳ ⭐ If a website is added later, it reads exactly this setting. ⛔ No second release and no other switch is created for it — ⭐ what you set to "private" does not appear there either.

⭐⭐ What the level of your tachograph does: ⭐ On "public" every logged-in driver can view it, and the amounts are shown in it. ⭐ On "your company only" only the members of your company see it, and in place of every amount there is a "—". ⭐ On "private" nobody except you sees it; ⚠️ the management of your company still sees it (see the next paragraph), likewise without the amounts. ⭐ You yourself always see your tachograph in full — ⛔ the level changes nothing about your own view. ⛔⛔ Your current account is in no one else's view — on none of the three levels.

⛔⛔ Three things have no setting: ⭐ your money (account, wage, loan) — only you, the management of your company and the operator see it; ⭐ your fines, inspection reports and your holidays — these stay with the management of your company (section 6a); ⭐ your dot with your name on the shared map — it can always be seen while driving. ⭐ The management of your company also continues to see what it needs for its work — even with "private".

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — without these details it would not be possible to work together in a firm. ⭐ The levels are the means by which you yourself limit how far they go.

⭐ What others see of your figures

If you drive for a company, every member of this company can call up its joint figures — kilometres driven, tours, cargo, times and costs. ⭐ If the management of the company switches it on, there is additionally an internal leaderboard in which you appear with your display name next to the other drivers. If it is not switched on, it does not exist — not even empty.

⏳ ⭐⭐ Your Race ("Renn") statistics and your company's tour list. You see your own Standard and Race statistics and your accidents at any time, separated by game. ⭐ The management of your company — the owner, his deputy and every role to which the owner gives the right "VTC overview" („VTC-Übersicht") (he can also give it to all drivers) — sees for the tours that you drove for this company: date, route, cargo, kilometres, duration, your Race share, your top speed, the number of your fines, the number of your light and your severe accidents and of fines for a collision; plus a list of all drivers of the company, which can be sorted by these. ⭐ Wage and value of a tour are only visible in it to those who may also see the company's accounting. The owner can download this list as a file.

⛔ This view cannot be switched off towards your own company — it is part of the work for the firm, like the joint figures above. ⭐ This list is never public: drivers of other companies, visitors to the website and the public leaderboard do not see your individual tours or your values from them. ⚠️ What of this becomes public as a total — without your name — is stated in section 6c; what a company sees of you in the driver exchange if you present yourself there, in section 6b. ⭐ If you leave the company, it only sees the tours you drove as its member — never what you drive afterwards.

⭐ Drivers of other companies do not see your figures. If you drive alone, nobody except you sees them — and the operator, insofar as necessary for operation. ⏳ ⚠️ Three exceptions, and none of them shows money: ① If you put yourself into the driver exchange, companies looking for drivers see there your driven tours, kilometres and hours and how many of your tours were Standard and how many Race (section 6b). ② On the website there are totals — over all drivers of a game and over the drivers of a company —, ⛔ never with your name (section 6c). ③ If your company connects a Discord channel, selected events of your tours appear there — and they can be read by anyone whom the operator of that Discord server lets in (section 7e). ⚠️ This does not affect what is shown at your dot on the shared map during a drive (further down in this section): ⭐ That is not a figure from this evaluation, but the ongoing drive itself — and every logged-in driver sees it.

On the website there are ⏳ overall figures of all drivers together, separated per game — what exactly is shown there is stated in section 6c. ⭐ It contains no name and no figure that could be attributed to a human being. This too is enabled by the operator; without this release this page does not exist. ⏳ ⭐ The same applies to the comparison "Me and all drivers" („Ich und alle Fahrer") in your statistics: You see your own figures next to the totals of all drivers of your game — ⛔ without anyone else's name, ⛔ without money, and the number of drivers only from 10 drivers in that game onwards, so that nobody can be singled out.

⏳ The workshop's queue is visible to everyone logged in — from the day it exists. ⭐ What is shown there is the order of receipt, the type of job and its status. ⭐ You recognise your own entry by the name of your vehicle; the same applies to your company's vehicles, because there all authorised persons see the vehicles anyway.

⏳ ⚠️⚠️ From the day the dealer map exists (further below), every entry of this queue also shows to whom the vehicle belongs — the display name of the driver or the name of his company, i.e. the same thing that is shown at his dot on the shared map anyway. ⭐⭐ Until 6 September 2026 this notice announced the opposite at this point — that neither the name nor the licence plate of someone else's vehicle would be visible there. ⭐ This is stated here and not silently deleted, because an announcement that is withdrawn must be named just as much as a new one. ⛔ A licence plate is still not shown there, ⛔ nothing about a driver's money and nothing from his profile.

⭐ You can track the status of a delivery that you have ordered from the dealer business — whether it is waiting, whether it is being loaded, whether it is on its way and how far it has got, including departure and arrival. ⭐⭐ There is no human being behind it. These trips belong to the dealer's business; their status is calculated and not reported — ⛔ no position is stored for this, no driver name is kept and no device is read out. ⭐ The only link to you is that it is your order; the basis for this is the same as for the rest of this section.

⏳ ⭐ The same applies to the work on your construction project. Who builds there and with which equipment is part of the dealer's business. ⭐⭐ There is no human being behind this either — ⛔ no name, no position and no information about a person is created in the process, and the waiting time displayed to you is a calculation for your own order and nothing else.

⏳ ⭐ What does become visible at such a construction site, however, is for whom it is being built — the display name of the driver or of the company whose yard is being created. ⛔ Nothing new about a human being is created by this: It is the same name that every logged-in driver sees anyway, and it appears there because a yard belongs to someone. ⏳ ⭐ And the dealer's builders get names — ⭐⭐ invented names of invented characters; the details are in the paragraph after next.

⏳ ⭐⭐ This applies to everyone who works for the dealer business — to the builders as well as to its driving staff, its workshop staff and its office staff. ⭐⭐ They are not human beings, but calculated figures of its business. ⛔ What the operator sees about them — how many there are, how busy they are and whether there are too few or too many — is information about his own business and about no human being; ⛔ no player appears there.

⏳ ⭐⭐ From the day the dealer map exists, this is no longer seen only by the operator, but by every logged-in driver — and then these characters also bear names: one can see which of them is currently working, who is free, who is on holiday and who has called in sick. ⭐⭐⭐ These names are invented, and so are the characters behind them. They exist only in the game. ⛔ There is no human being behind them, ⛔ any resemblance to a real human being is not intended and would be coincidental, and ⛔ nobody is named there with his real name. ⚠️ The holidays and illnesses of these characters are also randomly rolled — they belong to the game and are ⛔ not health information about any human being. ⛔ No personnel file within the meaning of section 6a is created for them, and there is neither an address nor an e-mail address nor an account for them. ⭐ They are calculated figures with a name in front — and they are there so that the dealer's business looks like a business.

⏳ ⭐ The same applies to the dealer's yards that you can look at (terms of use, 2.4). Where they are, what is available there and how far they have been expanded is information about his business — ⛔ it contains no name, no account number and no information about a human being. ⭐ The only link to you is the distance to your own yard, and that is calculated from what belongs to your account anyway. ⛔ Looking does not create an entry in the change log (section 7d).

⏳ These figures arise from your tours (section 5) and remain as long as your account exists. If you delete it, they remain without any link to a person — like the bookings in section 10.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for the figures within the company — without them a company could not be run. For the overall figures on the website, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; they contain no personal reference. ⏳ For the driver exchange and the public logbook, see sections 6b and 6c.

⏳ ⭐⭐ The dealer map — and what other drivers see of you on it

⏳ From the day the operator activates it, every logged-in driver can openly view the dealer's business: how far his yards have been developed, what is currently being built, what is being produced in his plants, what he has in stock, what is in his workshop and who works for him. ⭐ Viewing is all that is possible there — ⛔ nobody can change anything there except the operator himself.

⚠️⚠️ Your display name appears at two places on this map — and because others read it there, it belongs here:

  • In the workshop: that a vehicle of yours is currently being repaired or is waiting, and at which position in the queue it stands.
  • With the construction workers: that a yard of yours is being built on or that it is waiting for a crew.

⭐ That is all. ⛔⛔ Not on this map: your money and your account balance, your wage, your fines, your test reports, your address, your e-mail address, the licence plate of your vehicle and anything in your personnel file (section 6a). ⛔ And nothing new about you is created in the process — only what belongs to your order anyway becomes visible.

⏳ ⭐ On the public website the operator also shows the same dealer map to visitors without an account — separated by game. ⛔⛔ Your display name does not appear there: A vehicle of yours appears in the workshop only as "customer vehicle" („Kundenfahrzeug") with its make and model, ⛔ without licence plate, without your name and without the name of your company. ⭐ The workshop staff, drivers and office staff of the dealer who are listed there by name are the invented characters from section 6 — ⛔ not real people.

⛔⛔ Your name there cannot be switched off. ⚠️ This is the same decision as for the dot on the shared map, and it is stated here so that nobody only notices it afterwards. ⭐ The three levels of your profile (further above) apply to the details of your profile — ⛔ they do not apply to what you order from the dealer. ⭐ The reason is the same as for the map: An open workshop in which nobody knows whose vehicle is in the queue would not be an open workshop. ⭐ So this notice does not promise you a switch for it.

⭐ What you can do about it: not order anything from the dealer — then nothing of yours appears there either. ⭐ And beyond that, the ways that always exist remain: not using the app or deleting the account (sections 10 and 11).

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — the open workshop and the open construction site are part of what this app is about, and without the name on an order an order of sequence could neither be displayed nor traced. ⛔ An objection under Art. 21 GDPR is therefore not available against this — it is only available against processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (section 12).

⏳ ⭐⭐ Where people drive shapes the job board

⏳ From the day the operator switches it on, for your reported tours it is recorded in which area they were driven — per area and per day the kilometres driven and the number of tours.

⭐ What for: So that new jobs arise where people actually drive (2.3 of the terms of use). ⛔⛔ No movement profile is created from this: ⛔ It contains no route, no place, no time of day and no position — an area, a day and two numbers, nothing more. ⛔ No other driver sees these lines, and ⛔ no ranking is built from them. ⭐ The operator sees how the board is distributed as a result — ⭐ as a figure across everyone together, ⛔ not about you.

⏳ How long: Older lines stop having an effect after a while. ⭐⭐ They are not deleted because of that — the evaluation continues, and what is older simply no longer counts. ⭐ They disappear with your account (section 10). ⛔ This notice names no period and no share for this — both come from the operator's settings and may change.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — without these numbers the game would not know where to offer jobs, and the job board is part of what this app is about.

⏳ ⭐ The list from which you choose a recipient

⏳ From the day the app can do this, when making a transfer you can choose a recipient from a list instead of typing the account number. ⭐ It contains: the accounts of the companies (they appear in the profile card and the rankings anyway), the dealer business and the bank — and, if you run a company, the accounts of your own drivers.

⛔⛔ Other people's private accounts are in no list — the same rule as for the name on the map: Whoever does not belong to your company does not appear there. ⛔ Account balances, transactions and e-mail addresses are not shown there — only name, account number and the type of account. ⭐ You can still type in an account number yourself: ⭐ The list is a convenience, not a barrier.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — a transfer needs a recipient.

⏳ ⭐ When your truck is standing still while the engine is running

⏳ From the day the app can do this, it notices from the data the game supplies anyway (section 5) that your truck has been standing still for a longer time while the engine is running — and tells you so. If you do not react, this standing time does not count as working time and is not paid.

⭐ No new type of data is created for this. These are the same messages from section 5; all that is stored is which part of a tour does not count as working time. ⛔ The app does not interfere with your game in doing so: It presses no key and writes nothing into the running game. ⭐ It only sends a message in your name if you switch on the presence message yourself (section 7c) — ⛔ that has nothing to do with this standing-time detection, and neither requires the other. ⛔ How long a "longer time" is, the app tells you — this notice names no number for it, because it is a setting of the operator.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — it is the accounting of your working time in the game, and that is the core of this service.

⏳ ⭐ What is created during a qualifying drive

⏳ From the day the qualifying drive exists (10.4 of the terms of use), the following is stored for such a drive: that it was a qualifying drive, whether you passed, what the reason was if applicable, the date and how many attempts you have had so far.

  • ⭐ Who sees it: you. If you take the test for a company, the result is also seen by whoever is responsible for personnel there (section 6a) — otherwise it could not promote you.
  • ⭐ Where the values come from: from the measurements of your tour (section 5). ⛔ Nothing additional is measured that is not measured for every tour anyway.
  • ⏳ How long: as long as your account exists; afterwards it remains without reference to a person, like the bookings (section 10).
  • ⛔ What is used in the calculation is stated neither in this notice nor in the terms of use — that is part of the game (10.4).

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

⭐ Who sees your position

⭐ Today nobody except you and the operator. So far the positions from section 5 serve solely to build the game's map.

⏳ From the day the operator activates the shared map, this changes — in the following way:

  • Every logged-in driver sees on one shared map which trucks are currently on the road, as a dot with the direction of travel. Your dot carries your display name, your company, from where to where you are driving and how many kilometres are still ahead of you.
  • ⚠️⚠️ If someone clicks on your dot, they additionally see: your cargo and its weight, which truck you are driving, which type of trailer you have, how fast you are currently driving and the estimated arrival. ⭐ This applies to every logged-in driver — ⛔ not only to the members of your company. ⭐⭐ Until 8 September 2026 this notice announced the opposite at this point — that these details belonged to your company alone. ⭐ This is stated here and not silently deleted.
  • ⛔⛔ Not included are: your price, your revenue, your pay, your account, your licence plate and your address. ⚠️ What your app displays of this may be less — ⭐ this notice names what goes out.
  • ⭐⭐ Always only where you are right now — never where you have been. For other drivers there is no history and no movement profile: Only the last position is ever shown, and the previous one is overwritten. Your driven route is seen only by you and your company.
  • ⏳ How long it remains: ⭐ For the map seen by others, only the last reported position is ever stored — the next one overwrites it, and it disappears with your account. ⚠️ What happens to the other positions of your drives — the 30 days in the map table and the recording without a time limit, which ⛔ no other driver sees —, is set out in section 5.
  • ⏳ ⭐ Your last reported position also records which of your logged-in devices it came from (section 4). ⭐ What for: If you log in on the same computer with a different account, the old dot disappears immediately — ⛔ otherwise two names would appear on the map although only one person is driving. ⛔ No new characteristic of your computer is created in the process, ⛔ no other driver sees any of it, and ⭐ the information is only in this one line, which is overwritten by the next message.
  • ⚠️⚠️ Neither the dot nor the name on it can be switched off. That a moving truck can be seen on the shared map is this game — ⛔ there is no switch "invisible to others", and ⛔ there is none for the name either. ⭐ This notice promises you neither of them. Anyone who does not want to appear on the map at all drives without the app — it only reports what you drive with it.
  • ⛔⛔ There is also no switch that hides the name alone. ⭐ Your display name is shown at your dot while you drive, for every logged-in driver. ⚠️ This is expressly intended: A map on which nobody knows who is driving would not be this map. ⭐ What you can do about it is the same as in the point above — ⛔ there is no halfway option.
  • ⭐ What your dot carries is therefore the same for everyone — for the members of your company and for outside drivers alike: ⭐ the details from this section. ⛔ It carries nothing more — no address, nothing about your money and nothing about your vehicle beyond what is stated above in this section.
  • ⭐ The map refreshes at short intervals. So it does not show the exact second, but the last reported state. ⛔ How short the intervals are, this notice does not say — that depends on how many people are currently on the road.
  • ⏳ ⭐ The map may also be shown publicly on the website, in which case it is also seen by people who have no account. ⛔ There, no dot carries a name — neither yours nor that of your company. Publicly they are anonymous dots and the drives that the game carries out itself. ⭐ So less can be seen from outside than by logged-in drivers. The homepage live map also shows anonymously which town drivers are currently driving from and to – as a symbol with a line, without names, plates or company.
  • If the game is closed, your dot first fades and then disappears from the map. If you take a break, this can be seen at your dot.
  • ⭐ The map will also show drives with no human behind them — drives that the game carries out itself (terms of use 2.3 and 2.4). ⛔ No driver and no display name is attached to them, and none is invented for them either. ⏳ ⚠️ So that nothing incorrect is stated here: On the dealer map (above) the dealer's characters do carry invented names — ⛔ on this shared map they do not.

⭐ These are still positions in a game world, not your location in the real world.

Legal basis: For your dot on the map Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — the shared map is not an add-on to this service, it is the service: It is the reason why drivers meet each other in one world, and without the positions of the others it would not exist. ⛔ That is why there is no switch for it. ⭐⭐ The same applies to the name at your dot: A map on which nobody knows who is driving would not be this map — ⛔ for that too there is therefore no switch and no objection under Art. 21 GDPR. ⚠️ That is the price of this app, and it is stated here so that nobody only notices it afterwards. ⭐ If you do not want to appear on the map at all, the way that always exists remains: not using the app or deleting the account (sections 10 and 11).

⏳ ⭐ And where your vehicles are parked

⏳ From the day every vehicle has a location (2.5 of the terms of use), it is stored for every vehicle where it is parked — the place where the last drive with it ended, and the date of that.

  • ⭐ Who sees it: for a vehicle that belongs to you alone, only you. If it belongs to a company, everyone authorised to do so there sees it — including employees — in the vehicle overview. ⭐ Whoever is to assign work must know where the truck is.
  • ⚠️ This is the one place where something from the past remains. ⛔ It is not a movement profile: only the last place is stored, and the new one overwrites the old one. Your driven route is still seen only by you and your company.
  • ⛔⛔ And the app does not move your vehicle. The location changes only because the vehicle actually drives (7.2 of the terms of use) — ⭐ either with you at the wheel ⏳ or, if you commission it, with the dealer's people (2.5).
  • ⏳ ⭐ It is also stored where this place comes from — whether it was set by a tour, a drive without a job, a transfer by the dealer, a purchase or a pick-up. ⭐ This makes it traceable why your vehicle is parked there, ⛔ and it still does not become a movement profile: It remains one place with one point in time, and the new one overwrites the old one.
  • ⏳ ⭐⭐ Even without a job: If you drive your own vehicle empty somewhere, the server determines the place from the same position messages that it receives for the map anyway (section 5) — ⛔ no additional message is added for this. ⭐ What is kept for the place is a city, not a coordinate, ⛔ and no separate storage is created for it. ⚠️ The position messages themselves are kept as described in section 5 — a part of them as a recording without a time limit.
  • ⛔ If you are sitting in a vehicle provided to you by the game, none of this happens — it does not belong to you and gets no location with you.
  • ⛔ While a tour is running, it has the last word: Then the place comes from the tour and not from the messages in between. ⭐ Two sources never write it at the same time.
  • ⏳ ⭐ If you have a vehicle transferred by the dealer, this also resets its location — ⭐ and while a transfer is running, this is shown on your vehicle (2.5 of the terms of use).
  • ⭐ It remains a place in the game world — not yours in the real world.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — without the location it would be impossible either to assign work in a company or to account for which drive ran with which vehicle.

6a. ⭐⭐ When you sign on with a company

A company keeps a personnel file on its drivers. It contains — gathered in one place — what has already arisen from your tours anyway:

WhatFrom where
Date of joining, type of engagement (employed or subcontractor), role and its historyfrom your membership
last drive, kilometres, tours, punctuality, damage, violationsfrom your tours (section 5) — ⛔ not counted a second time
Test reports of your driving test (10.2 of the terms of use)from your first tours or from the HR department
Leave account: reported leave, days used and remaining (13.1)from your own report
a traffic light showing whether you have driven recentlyfrom the same times from which the periods in section 9 are calculated
Wage and bonuses: the wage model of your role, payslips, bonuses paidfrom the bookings (section 6)
Notes — for example an accumulation of cancellationsfrom the cancellation record (section 5)
⭐ the reason you give when leaving the companyfrom your own entry (10.1 of the terms of use)

⚠️ On the last point: The reason is your own text. ⭐ It goes to the management of this company and stays there, like the rest of the file. ⛔ It is not published anywhere, appears in no list and goes to no other company. ⚠️ What you write in it is up to you — ⛔ other people's names, access credentials and details about other people do not belong in it (the same applies as for a screenshot, section 7b).

⭐⭐ And the reason in the opposite direction: If your company parts ways with you, it too must give a reason. ⭐ You read it in the message about this that you receive in your inbox (section 7). ⛔ It is not published anywhere, and it goes to no other company.

⭐ Who sees the file: the management of your company and the roles to which it has given the right to do so — and you yourself. ⛔ Other drivers do not see it, not even in the same company. The operator sees it insofar as necessary for operations.

⭐ Why the company may see this: Without these figures it could not assign anyone work, pay anyone or promote anyone. Whoever applies knows this and agrees to it.

⏳ How long: as long as your account exists. ⭐ If you leave, your entry ends — what has gone from your drives into the company's shared figures remains there (section 6). If you delete your account, your name disappears (section 10).

⚠️ The wage is game money (§ 2 and 10.1 of the terms of use). No employment relationship arises, and no report goes to a tax office, a health insurance fund or a pension insurance scheme; what the app calculates in taxes and contributions is part of the game.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — without these details a company could not be run.

6b. ⏳ ⭐⭐ The driver exchange — companies look for drivers, drivers present themselves

⏳ From the day it exists, companies and drivers without a company find each other in the app and in the driver area.

The companies' side. Every company can be listed on the exchange: with its name, its presentation text (section 6c), its games, the languages in which it communicates, whether it is currently accepting applications, and how many of its tours were Standard and how many were Race ("Renn"). ⛔ The names of its drivers and any kind of money never appear there — only the number of members.

The drivers' side — only if you want it yourself. ⭐⭐ Your entry is off until you switch it on. You can only switch it on as long as you belong to no company. Then companies looking for drivers see:

  • your display name, your driver picture and since when you have been a member — ⭐ each only insofar as you have not set this detail to "private" in your profile (section 6);
  • what you enter yourself: languages, games, whether you want to drive as employed or as a subcontractor, and a short text of your own (at most 500 characters, ⛔ without links);
  • your tours driven, kilometres and hours and how many of your tours were Standard and how many were Race (section 5) — ⭐ these are measured values, not self-reported information.

⭐ Beforehand you see for yourself how companies see you. ⛔⛔ Never in the entry: your money, your current account, your fines, your accidents, your licence plate, your position, your e-mail address, when you last logged in, from which country you log in, which companies have invited you and where you have applied.

⭐ Who sees your entry: in a company only the owner and whoever has received from him the right "invite drivers" („Fahrer einladen") — ⛔ not every member. ⛔ No driver appears on the public website, only companies (section 6c).

Invitations. Whoever has the right "invite drivers" can invite you with a short text. ⭐ You see which company is inviting you and who there sent the invitation, and answer with yes or no, with a short text if you wish. ⭐⭐ Anyone who is already in a company cannot be invited. ⛔ A company only sees its own invitations — never those of another, never whether you have declined others, and never where you went; if you have accepted elsewhere, it only learns that you are no longer available. How often invitations may be sent is limited, so that nobody is swamped with invitations. ⭐ Stored for an invitation are: the company, who sent it, its text, when it came, how it ended (open, accepted, declined, withdrawn or expired), when that was and your answer together with your text, if you write one. ⭐ How long: An open invitation remains until you answer, until it is withdrawn or until it expires because you join a company. ⭐⭐ Once it has been answered or otherwise settled, it is deleted after currently 90 days — together with your answer (section 9). ⭐ If the inviting person deletes his account, "former driver" („ehemaliger Fahrer") appears on the invitation in his place — as everywhere else after an account deletion (section 10).

If you say yes, the same applies as for an application (section 6a): You become a member, your other invitations and applications end, and your entry disappears from the exchange. ⏳ ⭐ If you leave the company again, the app asks you once whether your entry should be switched on again — ⛔ without your yes it stays off.

You can switch off your entry at any time; it then disappears from the exchange immediately. A blocked or deleted person never appears in it.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — you have expressly asked the app to show you, and nothing happens without your switch; the same for the invitations, because they are part of the search for a company. ⭐ You can change or switch off your entry, your text and your answers yourself at any time.

6c. ⏳ ⭐⭐ What appears on the public website

⏳ From the day the operator enables it, the website shows, to everyone and without logging in, three things, ⭐ separately for each game. ⛔⛔ None of them names a driver, a licence plate or the money of a driver or of a company.

① Figures of all drivers combined: tours, kilometres, driving time, freight moved, quantity refuelled and refuelling stops, ferries and trains, countries, average cargo damage, Standard tours, Race ("Renn") tours, light and severe accidents, each value on its own, popular trucks, trailers, cargoes, routes and cities and some records (such as the longest tour). ⭐ There are two amounts of money there, and both are one single total per game across all drivers: what everyone together spent on fuel and what they earned with their freight. ⭐ The number of drivers is shown there only from 10 drivers in that game onwards, so that no one can be singled out. ⭐ One exception is the box "Singleplayer and TMP": per game mode (alone or in multiplayer via TruckersMP) and per TruckersMP server it shows the tours, the kilometres and the number of drivers — ⭐ already from 1 driver, ⛔ without names (section 5, "Which TruckersMP server you are on").

② The logbook of the last 24 hours. Every delivered tour appears there as one line: roughly how long ago it was (under one hour in steps of 5 minutes, after that in whole hours, e.g. "2 hrs ago" („vor 2 Std.")), start and destination city, cargo and weight, trailer type, make and model of the truck, how long the drive took, the distance and the cargo damage. ⛔⛔ No name, no company, no licence plate, no money and no time of day, neither when the tour began nor when it ended. ⭐ After 24 hours a tour drops out; older tours are not shown there. ⭐⭐ Individual lines appear only if at least 3 different drivers have delivered a tour in that game in the last 24 hours; otherwise only the total. ⭐ There are at most 300 lines per game. ⭐ A truck from a mod appears as "Other" („Sonstige"), ⛔ never with its name; a tour to a city that exists only in a map extension does not appear there as a line, but is only counted. ⭐⭐ If the "Figures" („Zahlen") setting in your profile is set to "private" („privat") (section 6), no line of yours appears; your tours then only count towards the totals.

③ The companies introduce themselves. ⏳ ⭐ The list for a game contains every company that is active in that game; whether it is currently looking for drivers is just one feature by which the list can be filtered. It shows the company's name, a presentation text that the owner writes himself, whether it is looking for drivers, and its figures, such as tours, kilometres, heavy-haul tours, Standard and Race tours and light and severe accidents, as a total for the whole company. ⛔ No name of a member, ⛔ no money, ⛔ no figure of an individual driver. ⭐⭐ The management of a company decides with the levels of its profile (section 6) what of this is public: If its name is set to "private", it does not appear in the list; if its figures are set to "private", the list shows only its name and its text. ⚠️ Whoever writes the presentation text publishes it: ⛔ names, contact details or other information about real people do not belong in it, and the field does not accept links.

⭐ How this works technically: Every few minutes the server writes these figures, the logbook and the list of companies into files, and the website only reads these files; ⭐ that way nothing is recalculated on every visit. ⭐ For viewing, what section 2 says applies: no analytics service, no tracking pixel, no advertising.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for ① and ②; the legitimate interest is to show that driving is done here and what is driven; the figures and lines carry no name and no time of day. ⭐ You can object by setting "Figures" in your profile to "private"; then no line of yours appears any more. For ③ Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; the company introduces itself, and its management determines the text and the levels.

7. Messages and inbox

Messages between drivers are stored with sender, recipient, text and time so that the conversation is preserved. They are not end-to-end encrypted; the operator could technically read them and does so if misuse is reported. ⭐ They do not stay long: ⭐ After currently three days the server automatically deletes every message between drivers, in one-to-one conversations as well as in a company's conversations (setting value, section 9). ⭐ If a message is hidden, all that remains visible is that something was there. ⭐ If you block someone in the chat, it is stored whom you blocked, so that his messages no longer reach you. ⭐ This remains until you unblock him again; ⭐ if either of you deletes his account, the entry disappears with it.

System messages in the app's inbox are deleted automatically after a set period (default: 30 days). Every driver can set a shorter period for himself or delete them himself. ⛔ The entries of your tachograph do not count among them: ⭐ They are kept separately and remain longer, currently 90 days from receipt. ⛔ Neither the 30 days of the inbox nor your own shorter period apply to them.

7a. ⭐ E-mails you receive

The app sends you only messages that belong to the game: the confirmation of your account, processes relating to your password and your e-mail address, ⏳ the code for a new browser and the notice when this route is closed after too many wrong codes (section 4c), warnings before something is deleted, the farewell message upon deletion, notices and messages from the game as well as invitations and communications from your company, once a month an overview of your month (can be unsubscribed in the app's settings ⭐ or via the link in every monthly overview; you do not need to log in for this). ⛔ There is no newsletter, no advertising and no passing on of your address.

⚠️ These messages cannot be unsubscribed individually, except for the monthly overview. Without them you could not manage your account and would not learn of an impending deletion. Anyone who no longer wants them deletes his account (then the address disappears too).

⭐ Sent e-mails (with your address) are deleted from the outbox after 90 days.

⭐ The operator can look into the outbox, namely when an e-mail does not arrive and he has to check whether and when it went out. ⚠️ In doing so he also sees what it contained, i.e. also a code or link that was sent in it. ⭐ Such a code is valid only briefly and only once anyway (sections 4c and 9). ⛔ The outbox is not analysed.

⭐ If you run a company, you also receive messages about other people, such as the notice that one of your drivers has not driven for a long time. This is part of running the company (§ 10 of the terms of use).

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; for the monthly overview Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest; it is an extra that you can unsubscribe from at any time in the app's settings or via the link in the e-mail; ⭐ that is your objection under Art. 21 GDPR).

⭐ When you write to us

If you write to post@dispolotse.de — or reply to an e-mail that comes from this address —, your e-mail lands in the operator's mailbox at the provider from section 8. ⭐ The operator reads it to answer you, to follow up a report or to fix a bug. This involves your e-mail address, your name if you give it, the content, attachments and the time. ⭐ To help you, he may look into your account if it is about your account. ⛔ Your e-mail is not used for advertising, and it is not passed on — ⏳ ⭐ only for answering may the operator take the AI help along (section 8). ⭐ How long: until the matter is settled, then another 90 days; then the operator deletes your e-mail and his reply. ⭐ If you ask for it, he deletes them earlier (section 11).

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR insofar as it concerns your account or the app; otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — the legitimate interest is being able to answer you.

7b. ⭐⭐ When you report something to the operator, with a screenshot

⏳ From the day the app has its own route for this, you can write to the operator from within the app, ⭐ and likewise from the driver area in the browser ("Report a bug" („Fehler melden"), section 4c): a question, a request or a bug. ⭐ You decide anew each time whether you do this; the app sends none of this on its own; ⭐ only the automatic diagnosis (below) goes without your click.

What goes to the server:

WhatFrom whereVoluntary?
what it is about (question, request or bug) and your textfrom you⭐ you write it
⭐ a screenshot, if you attach onefrom you, on your click⭐⭐ yes, it works without an image too
the version of the app, the version of your game and the map versionfrom your login, sent along automatically⛔ no, without it a bug often cannot be found
who wrote and whenfrom your login⛔ no, otherwise no one can reply to you
⏳ ⭐ if you write from the driver area in the browser (section 4c): a line below your text naming the page you were on (e.g. "Web · #/touren")from the page, placed below your text; ⭐ you see it in your own list⛔ no, without it the operator does not know where the bug is

⭐ Where it goes: to the operator's inbox, so that he can reply to you and fix the bug. ⛔ Nowhere else; it goes to no bug database and to no third party; ⏳ ⭐ only for answering may the operator take the AI help along (section 8).

⭐ What the server does with the image: It accepts it; one that is too large is not rejected, but reduced in size and rewritten, ⭐ as described in section 4b, and ⛔ only the reduced version is stored. ⭐ Whatever else was contained in the file does not survive this.

⭐⭐ Where an image is kept and who can see it: It is stored outside the public area of the web server and is given a new, unguessable name. ⛔ There is no link that one could simply call up; it can be viewed only via a route that requires the operator to log in.

⚠️⚠️ A screenshot shows more than you think. That is why it is shown once more before sending: ⛔ No passwords, no access credentials, no e-mail addresses of other people and no names of other players who have no business being there. ⭐ Look at the image beforehand; you are sending it, not the app.

⭐⭐ The app itself does not capture any image at all, ⛔ neither of your screen, nor of your game, nor of its own window. ⭐ An image is included solely because you select an image file for it; you take the screenshot yourself and therefore know what is on it. ⭐ That is the reason for this limit: what is on your screen next to the app is nobody's business, and the app should not even be able to capture it. ⏳ ⭐ The same applies in the driver area in the browser: ⛔ The page does not capture any image and is not allowed to use the camera (section 4c). ⚠️ On a mobile phone, your phone itself often offers to take a photo when you select one; ⭐ that is then your photo, and it is only included if you send it. ⭐⭐ The page already reduces the image on your device and rewrites it before it is sent; ⭐ location, time and camera data of a phone photo are removed in the process, i.e. before any of it reaches the server.

⏳ How long it is kept: for as long as the operator needs it for processing, and after he has ticked off the report as done, for another 90 days; after that the text and image are deleted. ⭐ As long as a report is open, it is not deleted; otherwise it would disappear before anyone has dealt with it. ⭐ The 90 days are a setting of the operator; the value stated in the table in section 9 is authoritative. ⭐ You can withdraw your report yourself at any time (in the app; ⏳ in the driver area from the day it supports this); then the text and image disappear immediately, also for the operator. ⭐⭐ And if you delete your account, they disappear with it (section 10): ⭐ the row, the text and the image file itself, including an image that you selected but never sent. ⭐ Here things are really deleted and not just emptied: when withdrawing, an empty row remains so that the operator can see that the report existed; ⛔ when the account is deleted, nothing at all remains, because the person it belonged to then no longer exists. ⏳ From the day the recovery period applies (section 10), this does not happen at the same moment but 24 hours after your request; ⭐ if you log in again during this time, everything remains as it was.

⭐ When the app shows you a malfunction

If the app shows you that something has gone wrong in it, you can report this malfunction to the operator with one click. ⭐ This too happens only on your click; ⛔ the app does not send this report on its own or at regular intervals; the automatic diagnosis (below) is something separate.

What goes to the server: an identifier of the malfunction, the place where it occurred, the version of the app and a short text about it (at most 500 characters), plus who reported it and when. ⛔ No licence plate, no e-mail address, no driving data and nothing from your screen. ⭐ If you report the same malfunction again within the same hour, it is only counted; no second row is created. ⭐ If you send a report of the kind "bug" („Fehler") from the app (above), the app also creates such a row here — the place then holds a short technical finding in code words, for example why the app cannot put a job into your save game right now (section 5b). ⛔ No path, no name of your profile and no number of your Steam account.

⭐ Where it goes: to a separate error list that only the operator sees; ⛔ not to his inbox and to no third party except the ⏳ AI help (section 8). How long: currently 30 days, then the row is deleted (setting value, section 9); ⭐ if you delete your account, it disappears with it (section 10).

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for your enquiry and the reply to it; for troubleshooting additionally Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is an app that works. ⭐ You add the image itself voluntarily and can withdraw it at any time.

Reporting a problem without an account

You can report a problem to us without an account. We store your message, a screenshot if you add one, the page you report from and the language. If you choose to give an e-mail address, we use it only to reply to this report. To keep the form from being misused, we derive an anonymous check value from your IP address; we do not store the IP address itself. We delete the check value after one day. We delete the message, screenshot, e-mail address and page 90 days after the report has been dealt with. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the service without errors (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and – where you give an e-mail address – your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.

⭐ The automatic diagnosis of the app

⭐ So that we can find and fix errors quickly, the app sends a technical diagnosis to the server by itself: when its window does not respond for more than five seconds, when it catches a program error, when a transmission to the server fails and when the telemetry plugin causes problems. What goes to the server: the kind of problem, a key, a short technical finding (for example the page of the app, the route to the server, the seconds or the number of failed attempts), how often it happened, the app version, the game (ETS2 or ATS) and whether you drive alone or via TruckersMP — plus who reported and when. ⛔ No file paths, no profile names, no Steam numbers, no e-mail address and no text of an error message — the app removes such details before sending, the server once more. It is sent in batches, at most every five minutes; without a sign-in the diagnosis stays on your computer and goes along later. This applies independently of learning mode.

⭐ Where it goes: into a diagnosis list that only the operator sees — ⛔ to no third party except the ⏳ AI help (section 8). How long: 30 days after the last occurrence, then the row is deleted; ⭐ if you delete your account, it disappears with it (section 10), and your data copy contains it (section 11).

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — the legitimate interest is an app that works and quick help when something goes wrong for you; where the diagnosis is needed so that the app can do its job for you, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR as well.

⏳ ⭐ You can switch the automatic diagnosis off — ⭐ from app version 0.5.16: in the app's settings, tab "Start", switch "Send automatic error reports" („Automatische Fehlerberichte senden"). ⭐ Then the app sends no more diagnosis, and whatever had not been sent yet is discarded — ⛔ it does not go out later either. If you switch it on again, only new entries go out. ⭐ As long as you do not switch it off, it is on. ⭐ Your choice is kept only on your computer, in the app's settings. ⭐ The switch is your objection under Art. 21 GDPR, and it takes effect immediately. ⛔ It does not affect a report that you send yourself (above).

7c. ⭐⭐ The presence message in multiplayer: what of it goes to the server

⏳ From the day the app can do this, you can ask it to send a short chat message in multiplayer in your name at a fixed interval (terms of use 7.3). ⭐ This happens only if you turn the switch on yourself; for a new account it is off, and you can turn it off again at any time.

What is stored with the operator for this, and it is little:

WhatWhat forHow long
your switches: whether the message is on and whether it may be sent while stationary, while driving or in both situationsso that your choice still applies after a restart and on another deviceas long as your account exists
⭐ your own text, if you have entered oneso that the app sends exactly that; without your own text, the operator's text appliesuntil you change or delete it, otherwise as long as your account exists
two daily figures: how many messages were sent and how many were skipped on that dayso that you can see for yourself whether it is working, and so that a counting error stands outper day; after that nothing further is carried forward

⛔⛔ What is expressly NOT stored: ⛔ not a single word from the game's chat, neither what you write there nor what others write. ⛔ No names of other players, no time of any individual message, no list of whom something went to, and no server status of the multiplayer service. ⭐ The operator does not watch along and learns nothing about you from it that is not in the table above.

⛔ There is no connection between the operator and the third-party multiplayer service: the message is sent from your computer, with your account there. ⛔ The operator of this app has no access to your account with that service, does not log in there and reads nothing there. ⚠️ What data that service itself keeps about you is governed by its own privacy notice, which is not set by the operator of this app.

⭐ Switching off: the same switch, at any time, effective immediately. ⭐ And the operator can switch the feature off for everyone; then nothing more is sent, even if your switch is on.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; you have expressly asked the app to do this, and without your switch nothing happens. ⭐ You can change or delete your text and your switches yourself at any time.

7d. ⭐⭐ The change log: who changed what and when

⭐ If something is changed on your account or in a company, a line is created for it. It is short, and it always has the same structure:

What the line containsExample
when it happenedthe time
what it was about"Display name" („Anzeigename"), "Language" („Sprache"), "E-mail address" („E-Mail-Adresse"), a setting value of a company, a settlement, a loan, a role, an image
the value before and the value afterthe old and the new display name
⭐ who did iteither a person, in which case his account number is attached, or "automatic" („automatisch") or "technical" („technisch")
which company it belongs toif it concerns a company
occasionally a short remarksuch as the reason for a block

⛔⛔ What NEVER appears in such a line: ⛔ your password, not even in encrypted form; ⭐ the line about a password change carries no value at all, only the fact. ⛔ the address of your connection (section 2a), ⛔ no device, ⛔ no browser, ⛔ no location, ⛔ nothing from your messages.

⭐⭐ And a rule that hurts the operator himself: ⛔ A decision made by an automated process never carries a person's name. ⭐ It is expressly marked as "automatic". ⚠️ Otherwise one day your name would stand under a decision you never made.

⭐ What it is for: so that a change can be traced, when someone asks why a value is suddenly different, when a dispute within a company has to be settled, or when it has to be checked whether someone has exceeded his rights. ⭐ The operator also appears in it when he changes something or looks into someone else's account.

⛔ Who sees it: ⭐ nobody via the app. There is no page and no route in the app or in the interface that outputs this log. Only the operator can view it, directly in the database. ⛔ Other drivers and other companies do not see it, not even the management of your own company.

⚠️⚠️ How long it remains, and here is the uncomfortable truth instead of a pretty one: ⛔ There is no period and no clean-up run for this log. The lines remain. ⚠️ Even if you delete your account: ⭐ The entry about the deletion itself expressly carries no person, no old name and no old address; ⚠️ older lines may, however, contain your former display name and your former e-mail address, because that is precisely the change they record. ⭐ What is there is always only a single change; ⛔ no history of your game, no positions, no messages. ⭐ You can object to this and demand the deletion of these lines (Art. 17, Art. 21 GDPR); contact the operator for this (section 1).

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest is the traceability of changes and protection against misuse; Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, insofar as changes to your own account are concerned.

7e. ⏳ ⭐⭐ Discord messages from your company, and our own Discord

⏳ From the day this exists, the owner of your company (or whoever has been given the right "edit profile card" („Steckbrief bearbeiten") by him) can connect one or more Discord channels, separately for each game, Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator never mixed. Dispolotse then sends selected events there, bundled into at most one message per channel every five minutes.

⭐ What can appear there; the owner ticks it per channel:

  • Delivered tours: cargo and weight, start and destination, distance, cargo damage; if switched on, also the vehicle, the driving time and the average speed; in addition, if ticked, fines issued and cancelled tours ⏳ and the number of light and of severe accidents in a tour (section 5); ⛔ off by default, and ⛔ without location, time or amount of any damage.
  • Refuelling: once a day a list per driver instead of every single refuelling.
  • Workshop: orders, completed repairs (with the completion time in German time), parts on order and breakdowns.
  • Team: joinings, departures, role changes, passed driving tests and incoming applications.
  • Company: daily, weekly and monthly balance of the company, new vehicles, goals achieved and news from the operator, if the company allows them.

⭐ Your display name is included where it concerns you. ⭐ You can switch this off: In your settings there is "Do not name me on Discord" („Nicht im Discord nennen"); then only "A driver" („Ein Fahrer") appears there. The same applies to everyone if the owner switches off names for a channel, and always for a deleted account.

⏳ ⭐ Channels for the owner only. The owner can create a channel as "only for me" („Nur für mich"); ⭐ only he himself can then set it up, see, change and delete it, not his deputy and no other role. ⚠️ Who may read the channel in Discord is set by him in Discord, not in Dispolotse. ⭐ Your "Do not name me on Discord" switch applies there too.

⭐ Amounts of money (revenue, fuel costs, repair costs, balance, amount of a fine, bonus for a goal) and the licence plate only appear if the owner expressly switches this on for the channel; ⛔ both are off by default.

⛔⛔ Never transmitted: your e-mail address, your current account, loans, your private life, a position on the map, points for a fine, the reason for a departure, the name of an applicant, the fee for a cancellation, your Standard/Race line (section 5), ⏳ your entries in the driver exchange and invitations (section 6b), ⏳ when and where an accident happened and how serious the damage was (section 5) and no identifier by which your account could be found. ⛔ No one is pinged on Discord; the messages mention no one.

⭐ The channel's address (webhook URL) is entered once by the owner; after that it is kept on the server and is never again displayed in full, not even to him, only shortened and made unrecognisable. If Discord replies that the channel no longer exists, Dispolotse switches it off and notifies the owner in the inbox. ⏳ ⭐ What goes to a channel first waits briefly in a queue on the server. ⭐⭐ After sending it is deleted there, currently 24 hours after sending; the same applies to whatever cannot be delivered. ⭐ If the owner deletes a channel, everything still waiting for it disappears with it.

⚠️⚠️ Discord is a service of Discord Inc. in the USA. What goes to a channel is then held by Discord and on the respective Discord server; there Discord's terms and the rules of that server apply, and ⛔ only whoever runs the Discord server can delete it there; Dispolotse cannot recall a sent message. Who can read it is likewise determined by the operator of the Discord server, not by Dispolotse. ⭐ The basis on which the information goes to the USA is set out in section 8.

⭐ Our own Discord "dispolotse.de". Its public channels show only totals and figures: tours, kilometres and litres per game, new companies and new yards of the dealer, the five companies with the longest distance of the day (with the company's name), news and new app versions. ⛔ No driver names and no amounts of money appear there, and nothing is sent between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.; at 7 a.m. a summary of the night follows. ⭐ Only in internal channels read solely by the operator and those he has commissioned do two more things appear:

  • that a report under section 7b has been received: its number and its subject, ⛔ no name, no text, no image;
  • ⏳ every delivered tour of all drivers, also at night, as one line: start and destination, cargo and weight, distance, cargo damage and the game. ⭐ Your display name appears there only if you have set it to "public" („öffentlich") in your profile and have not switched on "Do not name me on Discord"; otherwise "A driver"; ⭐ your company's abbreviation only if its name is public. ⛔ No money, no licence plate, no vehicle. The purpose: the operator sees whether operations are running.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest of the company in informing its members about their joint work, and of the operator in reporting on operations. ⭐ You can object at any time via the "Do not name me on Discord" switch; it takes effect from the next message.

7f. ⏳ ⭐⭐ Your Discord status — what you are driving right now, in your own Discord profile

⏳ From the app version that can do this, the app can show in your own Discord profile what you are driving right now. ⭐⭐ The switch for this is off until you turn it on yourself — in the app's settings, on each computer separately.

What it shows: "Playing Dispolotse" („Spielt Dispolotse"), below it the start and destination city of your tour as well as cargo and weight — without a job only that you are driving without a job and which game —, plus the Dispolotse image and a button to dispolotse.de. ⛔⛔ Never: money, pay, your licence plate, the name of your company, the name of a client or your position on the map.

⭐⭐ How it works — and what the operator learns from it: nothing. The app passes this information on your computer to the Discord app, which is running there anyway. ⛔ Nothing passes through the Dispolotse server in the process, and ⛔ the operator learns neither whether you have the switch on nor what is displayed. If Discord is not running, nothing happens.

⚠️⚠️ What then appears in your profile is in Discord's hands (Discord Inc., USA). ⭐ Who can see it is determined by your settings in Discord — for example, whether you show your activity to others. Discord's terms and privacy policy apply; they are not set by the operator.

⭐ Turning it off: the same switch — the status disappears immediately. It also disappears when you close the game, and the Discord app clears it away when you quit the app.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — you expressly asked the app to do this, and without your switch nothing happens. ⭐ You trigger the transfer to Discord yourself; it takes place on your computer.

8. Who provides the technology behind it

WhoFor whatWhat arises there
Host Europe GmbH, Cologne⭐ a dedicated server that the operator rents there, with web server and database; plus the mailboxOn this server, for technical reasons, the web server keeps an access log and an error log, which contain, among other things, IP addresses, the time, the address requested and the identifier of the browser. They are not evaluated by the operator — he only looks into them when something does not work or an attack has to be fended off — and are deleted automatically after 14 days. The app's e-mails run through the mailbox at the same provider — this involves the recipient address and the content of the respective message
⏳ The notification service of your browser's manufacturer (Google for Chrome, Apple for Safari, Mozilla for Firefox, Microsoft for Edge) — ⛔ only if you have turned on notifications yourself (section 4c)delivers a notification to your browserthe receiving address of your browser, that and when a message went there and how large it was; ⭐ the content is encrypted — only your browser can read it
⏳ Discord Inc., USA — ⛔ only if your company or the operator connects a Discord channel (section 7e)displays the messages in this Discord channelexactly the information that section 7e names as the content of a message — ⛔ money and licence plates only if the owner expressly turns them on for the channel
Discord Inc., USA — only if you sign in with Discord, connect Discord or take over your Discord picture (section 4d)confirms who you are at Discord and delivers your pictureDiscord receives the one-time key from the sign-in and our request; ID, user name, picture and — only when creating an account — the e-mail address come back
⏳ Anthropic PBC, USA — the AI assistant Claude, which the operator uses for helphelps the operator to read and answer your e-mails to post@dispolotse.de, your reports from the app and the driver area and the error and diagnosis lists (sections 7a and 7b)the content of the message or report as far as the operator needs it for the answer — for example text, attachments, time, technical findings and, if they are in it, your e-mail address and your name; ⛔ never passwords and never bank data

⭐ A contract for data processing on behalf under Art. 28 GDPR exists with Host Europe. There is no other service provider, ⏳ except the AI help (below) — the e-mails, too, go through the same provider and through no one else. ⏳ ⚠️ The one exception arises only if you turn on notifications yourself: then a notification runs through the service of your browser's manufacturer (row above). ⚠️ There is no such contract with it — ⭐ your browser chose it, not the operator, and ⭐ it learns only what is in that row. ⏳ ⚠️ The same applies to Discord (row above): ⭐ Discord is not a service provider of Dispolotse, but the service a company has chosen for its channel — or that the operator uses for his own Discord; ⭐ only what section 7e names goes there. ⭐ Your Discord status (section 7f) does not belong here: it goes from your computer to the Discord app, not from the server. ⏳ ⭐ AI help: To answer e-mails and reports, the operator uses an AI assistant: Claude of Anthropic PBC (USA) (row above). For this, the content of the message or report is processed at Anthropic — ⭐ only for this purpose; this may involve a transfer to the USA (below, case ④). ⭐ The operator only enters there what the answer needs — ⛔ never passwords and never bank data. ⛔ The assistant decides nothing about you — what is answered and done is decided by the operator. ⚠️ There is no data processing agreement with Anthropic; Anthropic processes the content under its own privacy notices. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — the legitimate interest is being able to answer you quickly and correctly; ⭐ you can object (section 11). ⭐ Up to version 0.9 this said "web space" („Webspace") — since the move everything runs on a dedicated server at the same provider; ⭐ this is stated here and not changed silently. ⏳ ⭐ In addition, the web server writes a separate, small counting log for visits to the start page and the download of the app — ⛔ without IP address and without browser identifier, deleted after four days at the most (section 4e).

The servers are located in Germany. No transfer to countries outside the EU takes place — ⏳ ⚠️ except in four cases. ① For notifications that you have turned on yourself: the browser manufacturer's service may be located outside the EU, for example in the USA, where the protection of your data may be lower. ⭐ The transfer there is based on the adequacy decision of the EU Commission on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, insofar as the manufacturer is certified under it, and otherwise on your express consent (Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by turning it on. ⛔ Without your switch nothing goes there. ② ⏳ If a company or the operator connects a Discord channel (section 7e): then the information named there goes to Discord Inc. in the USA, where the protection of your data may be lower. ⭐ The transfer there is based on the adequacy decision of the EU Commission on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR) — ⭐ Discord Inc. is certified under it. ③ When you sign in with Discord, connect it or take over your Discord picture (section 4d), Dispolotse's server exchanges these data with Discord Inc. in the USA, based on the adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR) under which Discord Inc. is certified. Nothing goes there unless you trigger it yourself. ④ ⏳ With the AI help (row Anthropic above): the content of the message or report may be transferred to Anthropic PBC in the USA, where the protection of your data may be lower. ⭐ That is why only what the answer needs goes there — ⛔ never passwords and never bank data.

⭐ These periods are setting values of the operator. ⭐ The app shows you some of them on the "My data" page. ⭐ For every period shown there, the app's figure applies — even if this table should name an older one. ⚠️ For every period not shown there, the figure from this table applies. ⛔ Which ones are shown there, you can see on the page itself — this notice does not give a selection for that, because the page shows more with every new version of the app. ⭐⭐ Until 9 September 2026 this said that all these periods were shown on that page — ⭐ this is stated here and not changed silently.

⭐⭐ When the clocks that delete an account or a tour start running

⛔ A period without its starting point is no information — that is why for each of these clocks it says here what starts it:

  • New, never driven or current account in the minus — 30 days: the clock starts with the confirmation of your e-mail address, not with submitting the form. ⭐ 7 days beforehand a warning arrives — as an e-mail and as a message in the inbox.
  • Account in the minus and offline — 6 months and account offline — 18 months: both clocks count from your last sign-in. ⭐ A sign-in resets them.
  • Account permanently below the granted limit — 180 days: the clock starts on the day on which your current account falls below the limit. ⛔ A minus within the limit does not start it — ⚠️ but it also runs when you are driving.
  • Period after the warning e-mail — 30 days: from the day on which the warning e-mail goes out. ⭐ Each of these deletions is preceded by a warning e-mail to your stored address.
  • Started tour that is paused — 7 days: from the day on which it starts to be paused. ⭐ The date is recorded in the process: if the period changes later, a clock that is already running stays as it was. ⚠️ This is about the tour and not about your account — the tour is cancelled, the account remains.

⛔ The 30-day clock for newcomers expressly does not affect four groups: ⭐ an account whose e-mail address was never confirmed (the first row of the table applies to it) · the operator · anyone who runs a company · anyone who has an open loan.

10. Deleting your account — what really happens

Anyone can delete their account themselves in the app — ⏳ ⭐ likewise in the driver area in the browser (section 4c; there after being asked for your password first). The following applies:

Deleted are: display name, e-mail address, password, all messages, the personal settings, your driver picture (section 4b), ⭐⭐ your reports to the operator including the attached images (section 7b) and all signed-in devices — ⭐ including the browsers your account lists as known, your open e-mail codes and open sign-ins via the app (section 4c). The e-mail address is replaced by a placeholder that is no longer an address. ⭐ For the images, the file itself is also removed from the disk, not just its entry — and likewise an image that you selected but never sent. ⭐ Your switches and your own text for the presence message (section 7c) disappear with the account — they are not attached to anything else. ⭐ Likewise your test status (section 6). ⏳ ⭐ Likewise your entry in the driver exchange including text, the invitations to you including your answers (section 6b) and your "Do not name me on Discord" switch disappear. ⭐ Invitations you sent yourself will then show "former driver" („ehemaliger Fahrer"). ⭐ In Discord messages created afterwards, you only appear as "A driver" („Ein Fahrer") (section 7e). ⚠️ Messages that are already in a Discord channel cannot be retrieved by Dispolotse — only whoever runs the Discord server can delete them there. ⚠️ What is on your computer is not deleted by deleting the account — uninstallation is there for that (section 4a). Deleting your account also removes the Discord connection.

⏳ ⭐⭐ From the day on which the operator turns on the recovery period, this does not happen immediately, but in two steps:

WhenWhat happens
You order the deletionIt is scheduled for 24 hours later, and you are told the time. ⭐⭐ Until then nothing happens: ⛔ nothing is debited, nothing renamed, no vehicle goes to the dealer, and your sign-in is not blocked. ⭐ Until then nothing is deleted
You sign in during these 24 hours⭐⭐ The deletion is thereby withdrawn — completely, free of charge, without any questions. ⭐ Nothing more needs to be done for this
The 24 hours expire⚠️⚠️ Now the deletion takes place, namely of everything in the list above — personal reference, messages including images, devices, the settings for the presence message and the test status. ⛔ There is then no going back

⭐ What the period is for: so that a click in anger is not final. ⛔ It cannot be brought forward — not even on request, because that is exactly what would remove it. Legal basis: Art. 17 GDPR; the period itself is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — the legitimate interest is to prevent an accidental and irreversible deletion.

⭐⭐ Your name is replaced by "former driver". ⚠️ This is intentional and not a remnant of you: the books of other drivers and companies contain transactions in which you were involved — a transfer, a driven tour, a settlement. ⛔ Without any designation there would be a gap, and the game's accounting would no longer add up. ⭐ "Former driver" is not a name but the opposite of one — it refers to no one and cannot be attributed to anyone.

⏳ ⭐ The address of your connection is not attached to your account (section 2a) — it is not stored with you anywhere and therefore cannot be deleted here either. A block applies to an address, not to a person, and expires after its own period.

⭐ A company's logo belongs to the company and stays with it — it is not attached to a person. ⭐ Something other than deletion is resetting the save game (12.1 of the terms of use): in that case account, name and e-mail address remain, and ⭐ your bookings and your driven tours also remain — they just no longer count for you. ⏳ ⚠️ What is deleted in that case is everything that describes your path so far in the game: ⭐ your test status including attempts and waiting time, a reported holiday, your rank and your settings for the presence message (section 7c) — ⭐ afterwards your account stands as it did on the day you signed up.

Retained are: the bookings and the account number — without a name and without any reference to a person. ⭐ The reason must be stated openly: a transfer has two sides. If one disappeared, there would be a gap in the other driver's account statement and the game's accounting would no longer add up. The personal reference is thus gone — the figure remains. The same applies to the mod list from section 5, to the cancellation record and to the figures that have gone into a company's statistics (section 6).

⚠️⚠️ One thing expressly belongs here, even if it is inconvenient: the rows of the change log (section 7d) remain. ⭐ The entry about your deletion itself carries no person, no name and no address — ⚠️ older rows may, however, contain your former display name and your former e-mail address, because they record exactly this change. ⭐ You can demand their deletion (Art. 17 GDPR, section 7d).

On deletion, a credit balance goes to the game bank; a minus and an open loan are booked there as a default. Purchased vehicles go to the dealer, rented ones back to the lessor. The app shows a warning with all figures beforehand — ⭐ the driver area in the browser shows the same.

11. Your rights

You have the rights of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR).

  • Much can be done immediately yourself in the app: the "My data" page shows what is stored and how long it is kept; name, language, e-mail address and password can be changed; the account can be deleted. ⏳ ⭐ Changing name, language, e-mail address and password and deleting the account is also possible in the driver area in the browser (section 4c); ⏳ the "My data" page with the copy for download will be added there from the day it has it — until then it is available in the app.
  • ⭐⭐ A copy of your data for download is available in the app — on the "My data" page, with a button. ⭐ It costs nothing, and you do not need to ask anyone for it. ⭐⭐ Until 8 September 2026 this said that it did not exist yet — ⭐ this is stated here and not deleted silently.
  • ⭐ If you ever cannot reach the page, an informal e-mail to post@dispolotse.de is still sufficient — it will be compiled and sent to you. ⭐ You will receive an answer within one month at the latest — usually much faster, because only a few people are involved here. Also free of charge.
  • ⭐ The "My data" page shows what is stored, where it comes from and how long it is kept, and outputs it all at once as one file. ⭐ It contains: your account data (for example name, e-mail address, language, company and the dates of your account) and your accounts, your personnel file (if there is one), the logbook with the game per tour (in American Truck Simulator also the revenue in dollars), the account statements, the messages you wrote yourself (with the game they belong to), the messages in your inbox and the periods that apply to your data. ⚠️ Not contained in the file are your vehicles, your rental contracts and your fines — you can see them in the app, and with an informal e-mail (above) you will receive them too. ⚠️ If a section is very long, it is shortened — the file then states at exactly this section that it is not complete. ⭐ What actually works right now, you can see in the app. ⛔ Your password is not contained in it — not even in the encrypted form in which it is stored. ⭐ The same page also has the button with which you delete your account (section 10).
  • ⏳ If you change your password, all other signed-in devices are signed out; the device you are currently using stays signed in. ⚠️ With the "Forgot password" route it is different: there all devices are signed out, including your own (§ 6 of the terms of use).
  • ⏳ Forgot password: from the day on which the app offers this, it sends you a link for it to your stored address (§ 6 of the terms of use). ⭐ You then enter the new password on a page of this provider in your browser, not in the app. ⭐ What is stored for this is the key from the link and when it expires; ⭐ it is deleted as soon as you have used it, and a new request replaces the old one. ⛔ Your password is not stored anywhere in plain text, neither the old one nor the new one. ⛔ The page in the browser sets no cookie and creates nothing about you. ⭐ The only cookie of this provider is created only when you sign in to the driver area (section 4c) — ⛔ it is not needed for setting the password.
  • Right to lodge a complaint: with any data protection supervisory authority; the competent one is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen), Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf.
  • Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract) for account, sign-in, game data, bookings and messages — i.e. for everything that makes up the app; ⭐⭐ this includes the shared map with your dot and the name on it (section 6) ⏳ and the presence message that you turn on yourself (section 7c) — ⭐ without your switch nothing happens there, and turning it off takes effect immediately; ⏳ likewise the Standard/Race row and the accident figures per tour and the tour list of your company (sections 5 and 6), your entry in the driver exchange and the invitations (section 6b), the presentation of a company (section 6c) and your Discord status, which you turn on yourself (section 7f).
  • Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest) for the prevention of abuse, the brake against too many sign-in attempts, ⏳ the counters per address and the temporary block of an attacking address (section 2a), ⭐ the temporary block of the routes to your own account after too many failed attempts (section 4), ⏳ ⭐ the code by e-mail, the known browser, the confirmation prompt before money and access data and the limit for "Sign in with the app" in the driver area (section 4c), ⏳ the country of a new sign-in in the browser (sections 2a and 4c), ⭐ the change log (section 7d), ⏳ ⭐ the Discord messages of a company and of the operator (section 7e) — ⭐ you object to these with the "Do not name me on Discord" switch —, ⏳ ⭐ the figures and the logbook on the public website (section 6c) — ⭐ you object to these by setting "Numbers" („Zahlen") in your profile to "private" —, ⭐ the monthly overview by e-mail (section 7a), ⏳ the troubleshooting for a report you sent (section 7b) and the technical logs of the server (section 8). The interest is the secure operation of a free service and the shared game. ⭐ You can object at any time to the block of an address that affects you unjustly (section 2a). ⛔⛔ The map including the name on your dot, on the other hand, is based on lit. b and cannot be turned off — ⚠️ so there is no objection under Art. 21 GDPR for it either.
  • Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent) for learning mode (section 5c) — revocable at any time.
  • Signing in with Discord, connecting Discord, taking over the Discord picture: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
  • ⏳ Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR also for counting where new drivers come from (section 4e), for your e-mails to us insofar as they do not concern your account or the app (section 7a), and for the AI help when answering (section 8).
  • ⏳ Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent) for notifications on your phone that you turn on yourself (section 4c), together with Section 25(1) TDDDG for what your browser keeps for this, and Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR, insofar as a notification leaves the EU in the process (section 8) — ⭐ revocable at any time; turning it off takes effect immediately.
  • ⏳ Art. 45 GDPR (adequacy decision on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) for the transfer to Discord when a company or the operator connects a Discord channel (section 8).
  • Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR, insofar as legal obligations exist.
  • ⭐ Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG for the sign-in cookie of the driver area together with the key by which it recognises your browser, and what your browser keeps for it (section 4c) — ⭐ strictly necessary for what you yourself have requested, and therefore without a consent prompt.
